Street Maintenance Worker I/II/III

Come join the City of Olathe, we are actively seeking a Street Maintenance Worker I to perform unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance work in the construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of the city's infrastructure, parks, streets, plants and facilities. This is an entry level position where you receive skills training and opportunity for a career progression track; Street Maintenance Worker I, II and III. We provide CDL training and other professional skills training.

Key Responsibilities

The Work:

* Perform construction, operation, repair and maintenance on assigned systems.
* Operate a variety of equipment including trucks, snowplows, salt spreader, hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, electronic test meters, pumps, and various other vehicles and equipment.
* Participate in housekeeping duties, grounds and building maintenance.
* Perform on-call duties and overtime and other duties as required.

Bonus Points If You Have:

* CDL license

Experience & Education

Here's What You Need:

Experience: No experience is required.

Education:High school diploma or GEDand the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.

License: Valid driver's license. Ability to acquire a Class A CDL with Air Brake endorsement and pass DOT Physical within 6 months from date of hire. Assistance in obtaining your CDL provided.
