The Concession Manager is responsible for ensuring the Concession area is in compliance with all Safe Food Handling Practices as laid out in the City of Pasadena Concession Policies and Procedures in accordance with the City of Pasadena Health Department and Texas Food Establishment Rules. A food manager must be present at all hours of the operation. The Concession Manager is also responsible for Ride Attendants and communicating the reservation schedule of cabanas/ umbrellas and party rooms to the pool staff. The Concession Manager position is a seasonal position with the City of Pasadena Parks & Recreation Department. Assists with Interviewing and hiring personnel to work in Concession Area at Strawberry Water Park if available. Recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performances to increase service quality and enhance job safety. Ensure receipts are compiled at the end of the day or shift and balance. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards. Ensure concession facilities and workers are in compliance with Federal, State, and Local Health Codes. Concession facilities should be well maintained throughout the year then prepped, operated and partially shut down after the swim season (May-August). Assist with preparing food orders from vendors including paper goods, food goods, CO2, etc. and ensuring delivery tickets are given to Aquatics Office for payment. Keep track of all food establishment records including but not limited to daily temperature logs, certifications, waste forms, etc. Specify food portions and courses, production and time sequences, and workstation and equipment arrangements. Control inventories for concession food, equipment, small wares, and report any currency shortages to designated office personnel. Analyze operations problems, such as theft and wastage, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems. Develop equipment maintenance schedules for concession buildings and arrange for repairs according to manufactures recommendations. Assist with training Cashiers in daily cash handling skills in accordance to policy of the City of Pasadena. Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees in accordance with work requirements. Resolve customer complaints alongside the Pool Managers. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Duties: Opens museum grounds and buildings at designated hours, greets visitors, and invites visitors to sign guest register. Answers telephone queries. Monitors visitors viewing exhibits, cautions persons not complying with museum regulations, distributes promotional materials, and answers questions concerning exhibits, regulations, and facilities. Arranges tours of facility for families, schools or other groups, as well as individuals. May prepare material for the exhibits. May be required to drive City vehicles or personal vehicle to run errands for museum related business and have a valid Texas Driver's license. May be required to make initial inventory and to audit existing inventory of museum objects and artifacts and update appropriate records. Examines exhibit facilities and collection objects periodically and notifies supervisor when need for repair or replacement is observed. Keeps facilities clean. Picks up trash by hand and puts into plastic garbage bags with average of ten filled bags per person every morning. Cuts grass and trims areas around trees, buildings, walks, playground equipment, etc. using riding mower, weed eater, trimmer, and other yard tools. May construct flower beds. Empties trash cans. Puts filled plastic garbage bags into the back of a City truck for disposal (a walk-up trailer is available to accommodate this task). Bags are then loaded into dumpster from back of truck. May work on construction crew constructing walkways or erecting park equipment and facilities. May plant trees and shrubs and trim tree limbs. May apply herbicides if certified by Texas regulatory agency. Responsibilities include planning and leading work of other Parks Workers and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Duties: Assists Residents with recyclables. May gather separated recycling materials and dump them into recycling bins. Assists Residents to dispose of motor oil in containers. Writes down the items on a form that the residents recycle. Walks around Recycling Center to pick up loose items around fence line. Must be in good physical condition and able to work outside in all types of weather; must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, often while running or jogging; must have good vision to be able to avoid obstacles and to identify hazardous conditions. Basic math concepts including adding and subtracting two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

Duties: Supervise participants at Recreation Centers ensuring safety of participants and facilitating recreational programs. Maintain sign in sheets for both game room and activities. Monitor registration of participants. Supervise Summer Food Program. Facilitate special events including but not limited to 4th Fest. Responsible for maintaining facility and securing at end of day. The Street Cleaner III performs a combination of advanced-level street cleaning, mowing, debris removal, and mechanical maintenance duties for the City. This role involves leading small crews in the field, operating heavy and small equipment, and conducting both preventative and corrective repairs on City-owned small engine equipment. Exercises independent judgment and initiative to perform both field operations and mechanical duties. Operates trucks, trailers, riding mowers, push mowers, weed eaters, blowers, toros, and sweepers for mowing, debris cleanup, and vegetation control on streets, medians, ditches, sidewalks, and public areas. Performs heavy manual labor such as clearing brush, trimming trees, and removing litter from public spaces. Inspects work areas for obstacles (e.g., manhole covers, rocks, gas lines) and marks them for safety. Assists in interdepartmental coordination for street and landscape projects. Responds to and resolves citizen requests or complaints professionally. Performs diagnostic inspections and repairs on small engines such as mowers, weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws, generators, and pumps. Conducts major and minor repairs including tune-ups, engine overhauls, carburetor cleaning, and part replacements. Plans repair work, determines necessary parts and tools, and documents all maintenance activity in the City's system. Runs parts using a City vehicle and coordinates repairs with the fleet maintenance team. Performs preventive maintenance (oil changes, fluid checks, lubrication) on both small and large field equipment. Operates shop tools and diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently.
