Principles and practices related to the maintenance of grounds, plants, trees and other landscaped area. Principles, equipment and techniques related to the surface preparation and painting of interior and exterior residential surfaces; basic electrical repair, basic carpentry and cement work; refuse collection and disposal regulations. Use and minor maintenance of the hand and power tools and equipment related to the assigned work. Safety equipment, practices and procedures related to the work, including safe driving practices. Skill in: Performing interior and exterior maintenance tasks effectively, efficiently and in a safe manner. Troubleshooting repair and determining the most effective repairs and materials and supplies required. Performing maintenance tasks using hand and power tools, equipment and vehicles related to the assigned work.
