As a Recreation Leader II, you'll provide #SimplyBetterService to Scottdale's citizens and visitors alike including:
* Planning and leading special events, games, sports, arts & crafts, and birthday parties
* Enforcing safety rules and maintaining order and crowd control with a friendly approach
* Greeting and assisting patrons of all ages
* Providing park information and answering questions clearly
Concessions
* Taking orders, preparing, and serving food and drinks
* Operating and cleaning cooking equipment
* Managing cash and point-of-sale transactions
Front Desk Operations
* Welcoming guests, answering phones, and handling inquiries
* Using ActiveNet recreation software for reservations, event registration, and memberships
* Restocking and organizing railroad souvenirs and apparel
* Managing cash and point-of-sale transactions
Ride Operations
* Loading passengers, collecting tickets, and giving safety instructions
* Operating the carousel and diesel engine miniature train on its one-mile track around the park
* Conducting park roves to ensure safety and security at all times and provide customer service to guests
* Performing opening/closing tasks such as: locking/unlocking gates, raising/lowering flags, and totaling daily ride counts
Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate's experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $25.29/hour.

Chandler was the first city in Arizona to receive accreditation of our water and wastewater operations by the American Public Works Association, the toughest accreditation to achieve in the industry. The Utilities Division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City's water, wastewater and reclaimed water infrastructure. The Utilities team maintains and operates one water, one brine reduction and three wastewater facilities. We treat over 64 million gallons of fresh water and treat over 30 million gallons of wastewater per day to class A+ reclaimed water to meet irrigation and industrial demands. Our water is received from four primary water sources: Salt River, Verde River, Colorado River and ground water supplied by our extensive well field facilities. This class is distinguished from the IT Engineer III by the latter's responsibility to provide the highest technical leadership, primary and secondary support for highly complex systems or products and may provide leadership for multiple medium- to large-scale projects concurrently. The IT Engineer II is distinguished from the IT Engineer I by its responsibility for independently performing highly technical application or product support, and/or leading medium- to large-sized projects. As experience increases, work may include identifying and documenting business process requirements and automation opportunities, assisting the customer in new project definition, prioritization, and preparation of project documents and management reports. This class has a high level of responsibility for supported systems and projects and may be responsible for the success of medium- to large-sized systems. This class provides technical and design guidance for projects and systems, and highly specialized, advanced technical guidance may be needed from higher-level classes. This class provides technical leadership for one or more specific areas and may provide technical mentoring to any lower-level classes. Incumbents in this class assist management in planning, directing, and coordinating operational or procedural matters to meet goals and objectives and may function as customer liaison, project leader, and/or technical advisor. Minimum Qualifications Required. Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, such as Engineering or Geography (by assignment). Chandler was the first city in Arizona to receive accreditation of our water and wastewater operations by the American Public Works Association, the toughest accreditation to achieve in the industry. The Utilities Division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City's water treatment plant, 32 water wells, and 19 booster station facilities and share another water plant with the Town of Gilbert. The Utility also operates wastewater and reclaimed water infrastructure, including industrial wastewater/ brine reduction and three wastewater facilities. We treat over 64 million gallons of fresh water and treat over 30 million gallons of wastewater per day to class A+ reclaimed water to meet irrigation and industrial demands. Our water is received from four primary water sources: Salt River, Verde River, Colorado River and ground water supplied by our extensive well field facilities. We also use advanced treatment processes to recycle over 7 million gallons of industrial wastewater and return it back for industrial reuse. Service is provided to the City of Chandler residential, commercial, and industrial users by a network of 1,224 miles of active water mains, 942 miles of active sewer mains, and 92 miles of reclaimed water mains.
