Although the physical test will be waived during the screening process, all applicants preparing to enter the Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Training Center (SALETC) program are expected to arrive in shape and be prepared to participate in a rigorous physical fitness program.

Assists callers with non-emergent issues (3-1-1) by providing them with City resources and information that address their concerns or questions. Position Specific Summary
The Code Enforcement Manager position at the City of Tucson Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD) is responsible for managing the daily operations of the code enforcement division, including managing staff, develops of policies and procedures, and supporting the consistent enforcement of municipal codes related to land use, building safety, environmental standards, and property maintenance. Manages and coordinates a robust community outreach program, leads the municipal code enforcement regulations and processes community outreach and education efforts. Coordinates strategic initiatives and develops community partnerships to promote code compliance and proactive approaches to neighborhood enhancement.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Planning and Development Services Deputy Director. This position exercises supervision over code enforcement division personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manages Code Enforcement Supervisor and Code Enforcement Inspectors, reviews timecards, manages schedules, completes performance evaluations, facilitates access to resources and training, organizes and coordinates projects. Conducts quality assurance audits of case documentation for clarity, accuracy, and organization, and assists staff with complex inspections and violations to ensure proper case management and resolution.
* Leads community outreach and educational initiatives to inform residents about municipal codes and enforcement processes, works with the Public Information Officer to develop digital and print materials, and manages strategic projects and partnerships aimed at enhancing neighborhood quality and compliance.
* Monitors caseloads and division progress, assigns cases and geographic zones based on workload and priorities, ensures timely issuance of notices to property owners, and researches property ownership details to support enforcement actions.
* Presents reports and correspondence to department leadership, City leadership, and external stakeholders, and oversees EnerGov inspection data and completion metrics to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of code enforcement activities.
* Collaborates with legal departments to support enforcement actions, court proceedings, and lien processes, and oversees the abatement program, including coordinating contractors, managing invoicing and payments, handling lien filings and releases. Develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
* Maintains comprehensive records and documentation of staff training and development, and ensures personnel receive the resources, tools, and support needed to perform their duties effectively and professionally.
* Promotes a culture of public education by engaging property owners and the community to encourage voluntary compliance, and works proactively to resolve high-priority code violations and minimize the need for legal proceedings.

* Acts as a lead in the installation, programming, implementation, and startup of SCADA equipment at treatment plants, well sites, lift stations, and other Water Services related sites.

City of Glendale Regular status positions offer:
* 10.5 paid holidays per year, and full-time employees are also granted an additional 12 hours of holiday special leave per calendar year to celebrate their cultural or religious holidays

Heavy Equipment Assignment
* Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on various gasoline and diesel-powered heavy-duty equipment such as solid waste trucks, tractors, heavy-duty trucks, small transit, bucket trucks, and fire apparatus.
* Repairs and maintains all vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, driveline, suspension, steering, brakes, electrical, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
* Performs major and minor repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty gasoline and diesel equipment, solid waste trucks, construction equipment, bucket trucks, small transit, backhoe/loaders, street sweepers, and fire apparatus.
* Performs major and minor repairs and maintenance to fire apparatus pumps, nozzles, gauges, valves, generators, and systems to ensure they will perform under emergency conditions and prepares firetrucks for annual certified inspection.
* May mentor Fleet Technicians with general repairs of fire apparatus (ladders, tenders, pumpers, etc.), solid waste vehicles, construction equipment, bucket trucks, small transit, and other fleet equipment.
Five (5) years of experience as a skilled equipment mechanic in a specialized field of equipment repairs such as automotive repair, diesel repair, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, or industrial equipment. Completion of an accredited automotive or diesel training program at a trade school or college may substitute for two (2) years of experience. Minimum of two (2) current ASE certifications.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
Knowledge of:

Summary
The Engineering Project Manager position at the City of Tucson's Department of Transportation & Mobility is responsible for managing and coordinating, and instructing large, complex, multi-disciplinary capital improvement projects from design through construction within the traffic engineering division.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Engineering Manager. This position leads and instructs the daily operational work of engineering personnel.
Job Description
* Schedules and conducts preconstruction meetings. Attends weekly project construction meetings. Coordinates with inspectors and contractors on construction issues. Prepares and issues supplemental agreements. Reviews traffic control plans for right-of-way (ROW) permits and project submittals. Prepares and issues supplemental agreements. Reviews traffic control plans for ROW permits. Review project submittals. Analyzes and monitors project budgets. Reviews and processes pay estimates. Negotiates, prepares, and issues contract modifications. Generates project special provisions. Provides project status updates for internal and external stakeholders. Responds to project questions from the public. Provides project updates and addresses questions from the Ward offices. Coordinates with the public information team for public project meetings to discuss design and project timelines with constituents regarding projects in their neighborhood.
* Reviews plans, reports, cost estimates, and specifications for quality, technical competence, code, standard compliance and constructability. Collaborates on design plans with other departments and divisions. Investigates and provides direction for design challenges. Approves utility relocation for final traffic project plans. Partners with real estate on project design to ensure compliance standards for property acquisitions and easements to ensure alignment with city standards.
* Coordinates utility relocations, including permitting reviews (traffic control plans for utility relocations). Reviews and negotiates scopes and fees with consultants. Coordinates property acquisitions. Prepares request for proposal documents and participates in the selection of consultants. Prepares pre-bid materials for construction contracts, respond to questions, reviews bids and issues recommendations.
* Provides guidance and instruction to engineering personnel, contractors, and consultants. Trains and mentors engineering personnel.
* Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Three (3) years directly related
Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on year-for-year basis.
License/Certifiction: Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona
A Valid and unrestricted Driver License with two (2) years of licensend driving is required
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering or Construction Management and three (3) years of Engineering related Experience
