1850

In 1850, entrepreneurs John and William Horner built a settlement in an oasis-like portion of the Bay Area.

1889

The post office of Union was established in 1889.

1890

"Union" Plat, 1890, Register of Deeds, County Clerk Office, Canadian County, El Reno, Oklahoma.

1959

On January 13, 1959, the issue was to put to a vote and Union City was incorporated, uniting the towns of Alvarado and Decoto.

1991

History of Canadian County, Oklahoma (El Reno, Okla.: Canadian County History Book Association, 1991).

2006

In 2006, the Union City Planning Commission embarked on an ambitious venture of land acquisitions made possible by the introduction of Senate Bill 552 in the Georgia legislature.

2022

Offices will reopen during normal business hours on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
