1975

1975 City Council adopts growth management plan structured around the timing and location of development and a mechanism for shifting the public costs of building and installing public services to the developers.

1983

Guided By Voices (1983 - ) described as “forefathers of lo-fi rock,” Guided By Voices was founded by lead singer Rob Pollard, a Dayton native and Wright State University graduate.

1992

1992 City adds "Guidelines for Future Development" to its "Progress Guide and General Plan."

1993

1993 The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), made up of the region’s 18 cities and the county, issues "Regional Growth Management Strategy."

1996

Since its inception in 1996 as a part of the City of Dayton’s bicentennial celebration, the Dayton Region Walk of Fame has recognized individuals and groups for their outstanding and enduring personal or professional contributions to the community, nation and the world.

1997

1997 The "Consolidated Plan" created by the City’s Housing Commission and Community and Economic Development Department, along with the County Office of AIDS Coordination and the Regional Task Force on the Homeless.

2001

Dedicated to revitalizing neighborhoods through providing affordable housing and other services, City Wide Community Development Corporation received its 501 (c)(3) determination from the Internal Revenue Service in 2001.

2002

2002 The City adopts the Strategic Framework Element/City of Villages Strategy as an amendment to the General Plan.

2003

By 2003, the organization had acquired two apartment complexes in the southeast area of Dallas.

2006

Wishing to expand the organization’s mission to include housing for women, veterans, and the homeless, the board of directors hired Sherman Roberts in July 2006 as its new president and chief executive officer.

2007

In 2007 she was named one of the Top Ten Women in Dayton.

2022

The band continues to play and release albums with its latest album Crystal Nuns Cathedral released March 4, 2022.
