Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for making precise measurements to determine boundaries and providing topographic data utilizing survey equipment and data collection software.
· Coordinate, direct, and assist in leading team members in the completion of Boundary and Topographical Surveys, Route Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Utility Surveys and Constructional layout for private and government projects.
· Create and execute project work plans.
· Manage multiple projects and delegate project tasks to team members.
· Managing day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope.
· Perform reviews and quality assurance to insure adherence to project standards.
· Experience with Trimble Robotic, GNSS and Conventional equipment.
· Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and requirements of CDI.
· Primarily Office work, up to 30% of work performed outside, some travel will be required.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of land surveying.
· Advanced knowledge of mathematics through trigonometry and geometry and its application to the field of surveying.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD/Civil3D and other relevant software.
· Skilled in the use of surveying instruments and software including Trimble Robotic and GNSS equipment.
· Thorough knowledge and understanding of processing collected data through the completion of projects.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess strong interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites under all weather conditions.

Education and Experience
License: Missouri Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT). Additional state licenses a plus.
Minimum of 3 years' experience as LSIT.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
This role can be based out of any of the St. Louis, MO, Jefferson City, MO or Collinsville, IL locations. The travel expected is up to 10%.
Work is generally performed in the office but will include some outside work at various job sites. May be exposed to all kinds of weather conditions including extreme temperatures, rain, snow, high winds, humidity, and dusty conditions. Physical activity is required including walking, standing, carrying equipment, stooping, kneeling, and bending. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Experience with HECRAS, HECHMS, PondPak, HY-8, Microstation.

Experience with Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District projects.
Education and Experience

· Plan and coordinate bridge inspections according to FHWA and owner requirements.

Job Duties: Under supervision, the intern will assist in surveying to support a variety of design projects.
· Perform boundary surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties.
· Perform topographic surveys providing data relevant to the contours of the ground and existing features.
· May perform construction surveys for municipal, private and roadway projects.
· Utilize Trimble Robotic, Conventional and GPS equipment, Leica 3D Scanning equipment and survey data collection software to take measurements and collect relevant information.
· Perform daily import of all field collected data.
· Maintain accurate, detailed and professional field notes.
· Perform general equipment maintenance.
· Adhere to safety policies, procedures and requirements of CDI.

10 years plus of bridge design experience.
IL Structural Engineer licensure (preferred qualification).

· Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D, and Microstation and/or Open Roads Designer.
· Knowledge of civil engineering related technical design associated with water resources, transportation, structural or site development.
· Good communication skills. Experience with building and sustaining strong client relationships.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a four-year college or university.
· EI (Engineer-In-Training), or capable of achieving within 6 months.
· PE preferred.
· 3-10 years' experience.
This role can be based out of any of the CDI locations. The travel expected is up to 10%.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000-$120,000/year. Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
