What You'll Do
As a Civil Site Drafter / Designer, you'll support our team of engineers in designing and drafting site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater systems. Your responsibilities will include:
• Designing site layouts, grading and drainage plans, and site development details using AutoCAD Civil 3D (must-have)
• Collecting and interpreting survey data, aerial imagery, and site topography to prepare design packages
• Assisting with stormwater, utility, erosion, and sediment control designs
• Preparing documentation and calculations for project plans and specifications
• Conducting occasional site visits for field data collection and verification

We're seeking an Electrical Drafter who will translate field measurements, redlines, and engineering direction into clear, accurate AutoCAD drawings and wiring documentation. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field leadership to support pre-construction, coordination, and as-built deliverables for multiple projects.
What You'll Do
Produce and maintain AutoCAD drawings: plans, sections, details, conduit/raceway layouts, panel layouts, cable schedules, and as-builts.

Convert field redlines and site measurements into final drawing sets; perform quality checks to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Assist with pre-construction deliverables (takeoffs, preliminary layouts) and clash coordination documentation; collaborate with VDC when applicable.
What You'll Bring
Experience in electrical design/drafting for low-voltage controls; exposure to protection and/or controls design is a plus.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel (e.g., cable schedules, panel schedules, BOMs).
Excellent attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills in a fast-moving project environment.
Ability to read and create wiring diagrams and interpret plans/specs.

The Mannik & Smith Group (MSG) is seeking a full-time Structural Drafter to join our team and work on impactful bridge and transportation projects across Ohio. If you have a passion for producing precise, construction-ready drawings and want to contribute to projects that improve communities, this role is a perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
What You'll Do
As a Structural Drafter, you'll be at the heart of our bridge design projects, producing high-quality construction documents and supporting the full design process:
* Develop and produce detailed drawings in MicroStation to meet ODOT and local agency standards
* Prepare construction plans ready for bidding and construction
* Assist with data preparation and quantity calculations for engineering plans
* Plot, collate, and compile plan sets for agency and construction submittals
* Support general office tasks such as document prep, scanning, and filing as needed
* Contribute to presentations and project deliverables, ensuring clarity and accuracy
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
What You Bring
* 5+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering drafting
* 2+ years of bridge design experience required
* Proficiency in MicroStation
* Experience with ODOT standards a plus
* Working knowledge of MS Office
* Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
