Submarine Structural Engineer with URO MRC 003 Specialty Analyzes URO MRC 003 data associated with submarine hull structure surveys (e.g., visual inspections, NDT reports) and based on established criteria, determines if material condition is acceptable or requires repairs, documents results, and recommends subsequent actions (e.g., accept as is, conduct repairs) to shipyard engineering. This analysis may require personally conducting shipboard inspections and entering shipboard tanks (e.g., Main Ballast Tanks). Specifically, we are seeking qualified individuals interested in teaching courses such as Graphics and Computer Aided Drafting, Mechanics of Materials, Mechanics of Materials Lab, Statics, and/or Dynamics. In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year, applications are continuously accepted in the civil engineering department. Rate for compensation is $1500 per credit (for candidates with a PhD) or $1333 per credit (for candidates with a Masters). The Civil Engineering department's mission is to prepare students for a challenging and fulfilling professional career, while building community within the student body and amongst the faculty and staff.
