What you will do: Review of the final Functional Specifications before starting design and configuration; escalate to immediate manager/PM for any issue. Proven track record of developing, testing, and installing solutions across multiple sites and or countries. Proven track record of fault finding and problem solving. Engineering background in PC systems. PLC knowledge a plus., PLC is not essential. Knowledgeable in packaging industry and supply chain automation. Experience in developing software solutions, able to test, install and validate performance against project deliverables. Understanding of software development and service delivery methodology. Knowledge in AutoCAD, MS Visio, and flow documentation tools. Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Acts in a professional manner and enhances customer satisfaction. Direct customer interface experience preferred. Documentation skills are a MUST. Sufficient detail shall be included in the report to accurately document the work that was completed * Maintains tracking spreadsheets for production quantities, materials, ROP, and other measurable metrics are documented for the project * Assists the Project Manager with performing takeoffs and obtaining quotes for required subs, materials, etc. that are required throughout the project * Attends the daily planning meetings and prepares meeting notes to document and communicate to Project Manager and Client * Attends the weekly Onsite Progress meeting with the client and takes/distributes meeting minutes in accordance with the Project Manager's instructions * Assist the Project team with documenting safety meetings, JSAs, etc * Assist in the preparation and review of resource scheduling within the three week look ahead schedule * Assists the Project Manager with documenting and tracking of Extra Work costs, assuring out of scope work is being captured as a Change Order and that Extra work is not being performed without proper authorization **Experience:** * 2+ years of professional experience working in project management or field engineering role within the heavy/civil industry **Skills & Abilities**: * Must possess excellent communication and problem solving skills, strong analytical skills + Should possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products including: Excel and Word, Microsoft Project and Outlook * Must be highly organized with attention to details * Ability to multitask in a high paced work environment with changing priorities * Ability to communicate effective in both verbal and written communications * Ability to work within AutoCAD or similar design software * Ability to travel extensively and for extended periods of time **Physical Requirements:** * Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required + PPE includes but is not limited to: hard hat, task specific safety glasses, life vest, respirators, task specific hearing protection, task specific safety shoes (steel toe or metatarsal), and /or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and may change based on the location in which the work is being completed. * Ability to walk, step, climb, and otherwise move from one location on the job site to another + Depending on equipment in use, the chosen candidate must be able to physically get into and get out of equipment through the use of vertical mounted ladders up to and including 10 or more in height * Ability to visually see worksite environment and observe equipment operations (either naturally or with corrective lenses) * Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, and sit for long periods of time * Ability to complete repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work * Ability to climb vertical ladders.
