What You Will Do Design and 3D modeling of mechanical components and assemblies including high pressure die casting, gravity casting, injection molded plastics, sheet metal, fasteners, etc. Create drawing packages and manufacturing instructions for parts and assemblies. Execute a design verification process and report (DVP&R) to validate requirements. Topology optimization, blending strength and NVH objectives to help identify necessary ribbing structure within the available package space to meet structural and NVH constraints. Sealing analysis with expertise in component hyper‑elastic analysis NVH analysis (modal, frequency response, mount mobility) Linear static stress analyses for complete drive unit systems Develop and maintain program‑specific design failure mode and effects analyses (DFMEAs). Coordinate validation efforts between Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers Collaborate with other mechanical, electrical, control, manufacturing, and test engineers to take designs from a clean sheet through prototypes and into mass production. Assist hands‑on in engineering prototype builds and component fabrication. In coordination with the Project Manager and the Superintendent; the PE works closely with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and other vendors. The PE tracks progress and updates budgets while keeping the project well-documented and running smoothly ensuring that our clients are informed and consulted every step of the way. Success in this role is measured by your ability to maintain project documents like RFI's and Submittals among other tasks within Procore while maintaining good relations with our clients, vendors, and other stakeholders. Our Project Engineer will ensure that our clients receive the best possible service, while continuing to build their experience in project management. Responsibilities: Assist with document control including RFI's, submittals, subcontractor bids and documentation, change orders, schedule updates, drawings, and meeting minutes. Ensure projects and subcontractors are properly set up in Sage and Procore. Coordinate with Superintendent to ensure daily logs, photo documentation, and required postings are correct and up to date. Interface with City and County government in relation to permits, parking, and inspections. Coordinate on site project set up, ensuring basic office supplies, safety equipment, required postings, toilets and utilities are in place for the project. Schedule, set agendas, produce documentation and logs, and take notes for project meetings. Manage and update punch list for project. Assemble close out package for clients at the end of the project, including Maintenance and Service information and schedule. Participate in weekly Maintenance and Service meeting, schedule all maintenance, and distribute service schedule to the service team. Regularly interface with clients, answering questions, keeping them up to date on their projects, and contacting them about needed maintenance and service on their completed projects. Requirements: Construction project management experience preferred Degree in a related field. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Ability to multitask and handle multiple high priority tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service. Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft suite, Smartsheet, and Procore. Team-oriented and willing to work with others to achieve results. Ability to work independently. Project Engineers assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with the planning and daily execution of construction projects. The Engineer is the link between management, field activities, accounting, and project administration. They also lead the management of the submittal process and approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, maintaining logs, schedules, budgets, and overall facilitate a well-managed project. Successful candidates are easygoing, team-players, with strong communication, project management and client service skills. Responsibilities: Assist in bidder selection and scope of work qualification for Client RFP's and new projects. Assist in subcontractor assignment for projects. Perform some project management responsibilities (with PM oversight), such as: write and administer subcontracts/exhibits; draft cost change requests, lead meetings & job walks, Q.C. coordination, etc. Assist with aspects of the procurement process for assigned projects. Participate in OAC meetings and prepare timely and accurate meeting minutes. Estimate change orders and request pricing for potential changes or cost impacting RFI's and Submittals. Lead the document control process: Distribute plans, specifications, drawings, permits, etc. to appropriate parties and maintain the drawing revisions using PlanGrid and SharePoint applications. Evaluate, prepare, and distribute appropriate RFI's. Gather, prepare, review, and distribute submittals. Maintain accurate logs/records of the activities associated with these processes. Perform Quality Control tasks for installed materials or systems. Assist site Superintendent to resolve unforeseen challenges in the field. Develop and maintain positive relationships with the project team, the client, owner's representative, design team, subcontractors, and others. Support the Superintendent in managing and updating the Project Schedule with confirmed lead-times of materials. Manage the punch-list and close-out process; including warranty, O&M, and as-built documentation collection completed by the Project Coordinator. Always promote the highest level of professionalism and ethics Promote safety policies and procedures and assist in those practices as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Prior experience in the construction industry is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fundamental knowledge of basic construction materials and methods. Basic understanding of the technical and business aspects of construction project management. Understanding of the building permit approval process. Ability to learn and master required technology and software applications, including the MS Office 365 Suite, MS Project; as well as BlueBeam, GreenHalo, Autodesk Build, etc. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
