Act as a mentor and oversee design engineer's work product and coordinate work assignments. Provide meaningful direction, training, and guidance to younger staff to grow their knowledge and tool sets to build a strong team atmosphere and working relationships. Attend occasional project meetings and may serve as an additional point of contact with clients, developers, contractors, and review agencies. Act as a liaison between other consultants on the project team from concept through construction (including RFI's & DCN's). Efficient time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision to meet deadlines. Required Skills/Abilities Strong technical expertise in the Civil Engineering design of Land Development projects (commercial, single family residential and multi-family). Strong verbal/written communication skills. Strong planning and organizational skills. Experience with regulatory agencies, with familiarity with federal, state, and local policies, and possess leadership skills to help grow the team. Experience with project submittal processes. Ability to manage multiple priorities and resources in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and associated design software. Broad multi-disciplinary knowledge in civil engineering including land development, transportation, water resources, wastewater, structural, and geotechnical topics. High level knowledge of discipline-related software programs and ability to interpret and summarize technical results and concepts. May include technical knowledge with hydrology, hydraulics, utility design and associated modeling software (StormCAD, CUHP, EPA SWMM, and HEC-RAS experience preferred). Strong interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution, analytical, and time and resource management skills. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university (preferred).
