Develop, update and monitor job progress using QMS program, including scheduling, estimating and budgeting to ensure that construction of project parallels with schedule.
Perform quantity take off(s), cost estimates and bid solicitation.
Provide research options and regulation information as required.
Purchase and coordinate the delivery of certain materials for the project(s) ensuring optimum prices, quality and conformance to specifications and budget.
Reviews and approves invoices and change orders.
Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors for specific trades ensuring that all scope is encompassed.
Review vendor and subcontractor shop drawing submittals for construction as directed by the supervisor.
Relocate to specific job sites (if required) in order to become familiar with procurement and construction practices.
Attend weekly job site meetings. Assist in the preparation of various reports to assist in the successful management of the project(s), such as: monthly red files, progress analysis/schedules, billings and status reports.
Assist in the organization and maintenance of job files to ensure continuity of work flow. Submit verbal and written reports on project status to supervisor.
Communicate effectively with customer, direct consultants and subcontractors on the project(s).
Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray's safety program on site.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and a minimum of three years related experience.
Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications. May also require working knowledge of scheduling applications.

Job Description
The responsibilities for this position include assisting in planning and designing Abandoned Mine Land (AML) and reclamation projects, impoundment design and inspections, site design, site grading, stormwater design, permitting (including National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System [NPDES]), preparing technical reports, and project management. The successful candidate will work with senior engineering staff to manage mining-related reclamation projects. Domestic travel may be required for visits to client mine sites as well as for client and corporate meetings.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor's or master's degree in civil, mining or environmental engineering or geology
A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in environmental engineering
Registered professional engineer or ability to obtain
Prior experience with abandoned mine land and reclamation
Technical knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations related to environmental site assessments, reclamation and site remediation
Extensive experience in commercial civil or mining engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Carlson Civil Suite, HEC-RAS, HMS, TR55, Geo-Studio, or similar software and GIS-based software)
Excellent interpersonal and effective oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications, the following education and skill set are preferred:
Previous experience in AML or environmental projects in the Appalachia region
Experience in operational, consulting, or engineering services in civil or environmental engineering or related industries
Project management experience

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
Strong knowledge of structural analysis software and tools.
Familiarity with solar energy systems and their structural requirements.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within teams and communicate effectively.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Must have a valid clean driver's license and the ability to pass a 10-year background check and drug screening.

**Job Description**
As a Project Structural Engineer at Olsson, you will work with some of the world's largest technology companies and other mission-critical clients. You will independently handle engineering and project management tasks on small to medium-sized projects, from conception to completion. Your responsibilities will include processing design calculations, developing project scopes and schedules, and producing structural construction drawings and specifications. Experience in the Data Center industry is preferred. You will also coordinate with other Olsson teams, professional staff, technical staff, and clients.
