The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion. The Civil Engineering Intern will work with the Acquisitions and Development departments to create concept site plans to be included in project site books presented to tenants for approval. Responsibilities · Draft concept site plans for project site books. · Use computer assisted engineering and design software to create engineering and design documents. · Review project CSI and any available third-party reports to gather necessary information for project design. · Modify and revise concept site plans as information regarding setbacks, overlays, utilities, and other issues impacting civil engineering become known. · Research codes, regulations, products, and design techniques when relevant and report back to AM/DM. · Review comment letters and plan sets - provide feedback on value engineering options · Review resubmittals and provide feedback of completeness to DM. · Attend project and department meetings, as necessary. · Other duties as requested.
