The Construction Engineer (CE) will be engaged in the project from the initiation / definition phase through final commissioning and closeout. Below is list of activities / deliverables the CE may be involved in throughout the life cycle of a project from initiation to final commissioning and closeout. Project scopes vary as will the roles of the CE for each project. Job Location: Various (Southeast TX, LA, AR, MS) Key Responsibilities: Assist Construction Manager in managing capital projects through the entire life cycle from definition to closeout. Identifies and addresses potential project safety hazards and environmental concerns. Responsible for monitoring and routine reporting on project construction schedule and cost. Perform quality assurance checks during construction. Ensure productivity tracker tool is updated daily. Monitor schedule and progress versus requested in service date. Responsible for closeout of construction contracts and as-built documentation. Monitors that all Customer procedures and processes are followed so that we will comply with all regulatory requirements. Coordinate with commissioning engineer to ensure all required documentation / testing is performed. Qualifications: Must be eligible to work in the United States. Valid driver's license required. High School Diploma or GED required. BS in Engineering, Construction Management or other approved degree. Equivalent work experience will be considered. 2+ years of experience of transmission, substation or distribution line work. Positions are tiered based on experience level. Familiarity with OSHA Standard 1926, including Subpart V (Power Transmission and Distribution). Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Org Plus, Outlook, SharePoint, and internet applications. Proficiency in T&D standards, safe operation of line equipment, and familiarity with the operations of T&D construction. Experience working in group settings and with governmental agencies. Ability to interface effectively with internal and external clients at all levels. Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment. Willingness to travel extensively and maintain a continuous presence on assignments. Physical ability to perform outdoor work and wear all required PPE. The Senior Civil/Structural/Architectural (CSA) Engineer will be expected to be the discipline CSA lead for different projects and perform shallow and deep foundation design, steel structures design including steel connections design, finite element analysis, retaining wall design, and compliance with local building codes and client specifications. This role will oversee multiple CSA engineers and CSA designers assigned to the project. This engineer will lead and assist with estimates including FEED estimates. Engineering reports are often a work product associated with performing calculations and modeling. * Ensure conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards, clients standards, and Shaw design policies and procedures. * Ability to interpret and set the design requirements per applicable codes, including IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, PIP, AWS, NFPA, etc. * Seismic design of steel and concrete structures including seismic steel connection design. * Work on simple and complex structural design of foundations, retaining structures, and steel structures. * Experience with reciprocating compressor foundations and cooling tower foundations. * Perform detailed technical analysis of complex project issues. * Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project. * Provide engineering sketches and guidance for the drafting team to generate structural drawings. * Provide structural calculations as needed when asked by the client. * Ability to design and retrofit existing steel and concrete structures. * Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments. * Participate in the development of proposals for projects. * Mentor less experienced colleagues, review work products, and manage assignments. * Protect the intellectual property rights of the company. * Knowledge of RISA 3D for structural design. * Knowledge of MAT 3D, Foundation 3D, RISAFoundation or other similar software for foundation design. * Carry out tasks at the direction of the CSA manager. * Attend all department meetings and project meetings. Conduct dynamic analysis of structures and foundations to assess system behavior. Develop finite element models for stress, deflection, and dynamic response. Apply CFD tools to assess wind and thermal effects on structures. Perform manual calculations for components unsuitable for FEA. Support FEA with classical hand calculations as needed. Size members and design connections per AISC and Aluminum Design Manual standards. Convert wind speeds to pressures using ASCE-7 guidelines. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and drafters to meet structural requirements. Document and organize technical analyses and design reports. Manage structurally intensive programs and maintain project organization. Create scripts, macros, or tools to streamline repetitive tasks and complex calculations. Perform other duties as assigned. YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE: Must be a U.S. Citizen Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural, or Civil Engineering with a focus on structures. PE license preferred. 5+ years of experience in aerospace structural design and analysis. Proficiency in FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN, Abaqus). Strong grasp of metallic material behavior under thermal and vibrational loads. Familiarity with aerospace standards (NASA, DoD, ECSS, or equivalent). Effective communicator with cross-functional team experience. SKILLS Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. Proficient in engineering design tools and MS Office. Job Summary As a Project Engineer II, you will take ownership of medium-scale projects and make significant contributions to product and process development. You will work under moderate supervision and help drive technical solutions from concept through commercialization. Job Responsibilities Lead technical execution of projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality requirements are met. Collaborate with internal teams and external customers on design and manufacturing improvements. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Develop and execute validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) and engineering studies. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including DHFs, DMRs, and process instructions. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. Requirements Education / Certifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's preferred. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or product development, preferably in medical devices. Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 and risk management (ISO 14971). Experience in product lifecycle management and process validation. Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
