Review and approve all drawings and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance prior to release. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.) or Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.). Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic design for powered equipment or shipboard systems. Direct experience in the maritime or shipbuilding industry is required. Strong understanding of shipboard systems, marine equipment integration, and applicable standards/regulations (ABS, USCG, DNV, etc.). Ability to travel on short notice when required. Preferred Skills & Competencies Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results within deadlines. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Role involves extended periods of computer and desk work. Occasional travel to shipyards, vendors, or customer sites may be required. Position Overview As an intern on our Aviation team, you will be an integral part of Airport and Airfield design and construction projects and support key members of our team. Our internship program provides all interns an opportunity to meet with leadership and work with mentors on both professional and technical development. We also have a lot of fun - between company events, intern socials, and team bonding, our interns become a part of our ONE C&S mentality. Position Responsibilities: Creating exhibits/working on plans in AutoCAD Creating real life quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for projects Reviewing project specifications and understanding FAA rules and regulations for airport projects Learning about funding sources for airport projects Airport site visits/possible construction inspection (with supervision) Collaborating with engineers on real projects Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or another related field. Completion of sophomore year preferred. Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D modeling systems Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills Previous internship experience or involvement in a related student association a plus. Estimated Compensation Range: $20.00-$25.00/hour* *Actual compensation may vary based on prior internship experience, current academic year, degree program, certifications, and geographical location.
