LFG Specialties is an original equipment manufacturer and has been servicing the solid waste industry (i.e., landfills) since 1987, providing custom fabricated compliance equipment (i.e., landfill gas extraction and compression systems, flares, and evaporation systems for the treatment of landfill leachate), service, and parts. These modular systems are designed, fabricated, and tested at APTIM's Findlay, OH campus, which consists of over 45,000 sq. ft. of fabrication and assembly shop area. These systems serve to minimize fugitive landfill gas emissions and reduce leachate volumes to maintain compliance with the EPA guidelines for MSW landfills and mitigate the release of Greenhouse Gases that deteriorate the ozone. We are one of the leading providers of equipment to the landfill gas industry. We design and fabricate gas flaring, drying, compression and evaporation equipment. We currently have multiple openings for experienced Service Technicians to engage in the maintenance, repair, and startup of our equipment at customer sites. Weekly travel is required. Reporting into an office is not required. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Travel to and from client sites in a multi-state region, typically 3-4 days each week. Work with senior technicians for first year during training. Modify, assess, and repair electrical control and power systems (480VAC to signal wiring). Modify pneumatic plumbing, installation/replacement of mechanical components into existing systems. Perform preventative maintenance including bearing changes and wire tightening Travel to and from client sites in a multi-state region, typically 3-6 days each week. Communication with service manager and office support team. Company truck and tools will be provided to perform weekly duties. Maintain detailed records of field activities, safety reports and expenses. Basic Qualifications: Willing to travel 3 of 4 weeks each month. Must be able to read electrical blueprints. This position is Remote, with occasional on-site travel and global team collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Thermal systems diagnostics, delivering actionable insights for predictive remediation in mission-critical environments, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. Experience with digital platforms for data analysis is highly desirable. Familiarity with predictive analytics concepts, machine learning applications, and data center operations is preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the subject matter expert in interpreting parametric, telemetric, diagnostic, and alarm data for digitally enabled Thermal products. Partner with engineering, technical support, and field service teams to validate event data and ensure accuracy across digital platforms. Analyze and resolve performance issues, providing remediation strategies and technical guidance to field technicians and customers. Advance the analysis, validation, and troubleshooting of Thermal system data to improve reliability, efficiency, and service quality. Support the mapping and correlation of telemetry and diagnostic data to alarms, events, and incidents to enhance incident response. Collaborate on the integration and refinement of Thermal data models within Digital Services systems. Apply best practices and innovative approaches to optimize product management and drive continuous improvement. Lead the creation of technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support resources for Digital Services in relation to Thermal products. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending process and platform enhancements. Participate in customer engagements, on-site escalations, special projects, and strategic initiatives as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications: (education, experience level, knowledge, skills, certifications). Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience required. Minimum of five years' experience interacting with customers at a technical level required within the Data Center environment. Working knowledge of digital service solutions, with a focus on leveraging these platforms to monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot data from Thermal systems. Experience and Knowledge of Vertiv Thermal products is a plus. Deep expertise in Thermodynamics and proven ability to analyze complex Thermal systems. At least 5 years of experience in Thermal systems diagnostics and remediation. Experience working with proprietary cloud-based platforms for data analysis is highly desirable. Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in predictive analytics is a plus. Experience in data center environments is strongly preferred. Experience interfacing with global or international teams is a plus. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to direct, build, and lead technical teams. Possess a positive attitude and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment. Detail oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision. Proficient PC skills including all Microsoft Office products and web-based technologies. Able to read and interpret electrical diagrams, drawings and blueprints. Strong skill sets: Customer service skills, troubleshooting skills, analytical skills, safety minded, Microsoft Office and web-based technology, mechanical aptitude.
