Role Overview The Fiber Design Technician I is responsible for designing fiber optic paths from the light source to the customer, utilizing both existing and new fiber infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Design fiber routes from the central office or hub to customer premises using GIS and design tools. Follow structured training programs, design standards, and documentation procedures with precision. Required Experience & Skills 1-3 years of experience in telecom, fiber network design, or documentation (internship or academic project experience may be considered) Foundational knowledge of fiber optic aerial and buried plant design principles, including splicing. Ability to read and interpret OSP construction drawings, splice diagrams, and network records. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications for reporting and documentation.
