Summary Statement
The Claims Associate provides quality assistance to adjusters at all phases of the claim lifecycle to drive the claim to timely conclusion. Supports the success of the organization through interactions with agencies, policyholders, and employees. This individual will handle incoming calls and mail for the claims department and facilitate tasks and processes to aid the adjuster to process claims accurately and efficiently.
Essential Tasks/Major Duties
* Respond to inquiries from policyholders, claimants, injured workers, and other stakeholders regarding claim status, receipt of payment or bills, and other claim-related questions.
* Obtain and verify information by gathering missing or incomplete details from relevant parties, including policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and external vendors, to support accurate claim processing.
* Assist with claim documentation by preparing and submitting require state filings, closing documents, and other administrative support requests on behalf of adjusters.
* Draft and distribute correspondence to policyholders, claimants, injured workers, or agents in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain accurate claim records by entering data into the claims management system and ensuring all documentation is complete and up to date.
* Coordinate external vendors by engaging appraisers, attorneys, and contractors, to support the claims process.
* Process payments and invoices by reviewing and issuing payments in accordance with company policies and adjuster direction.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 1 year of experience in insurance, claims, or customer service is preferred.
* Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Familiarity with claims management software preferred.
* Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
* Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
* Demonstrated ability to input data with a high accuracy rating, and strong attention to detail.

Under moderate supervision, this position handles auto salvage files and coordinates sale of salvage asset by adhering to state titling laws/ regulations.
**What Will You Do?**
+ Process necessary paperwork and title work to forward to appropriate salvage vendor.
+ Review and determine the most viable disposal method while considering state titling laws/regulations. Set diaries for follow up to ensure prompt sale of asset.

+ Review auto sale lists-ensure accurate sale data, e.g., loss type, area of damage, vehicle year, make and model, and percent of damages. + Conduct random sale price audits attending internet auto auctions to compare sale price with gross proceeds.

Experience working in a fast paced environment, participating in and presenting cases to both internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Purpose:
To analyze and process complex auto and commercial transportation claims by reviewing coverage, completing investigations, determining liability and evaluating the scope of damages.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Processes complex auto commercial and personal line claims, including bodily injury and ensures claim files are properly documented and coded correctly.
Responsible for litigation process on litigated claims.
Coordinates vendor management, including the use of independent adjusters to assist the investigation of claims.
Reports large claims to excess carrier(s).
Develops and maintains action plans to ensure state required contact deadlines are met and to move the file towards prompt and appropriate resolution.
Identifies and pursues subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client, and agent or broker when appropriate.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supports the organization\'s quality program(s).
Travels as required.
Qualifications
Education & Licensing
Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred. Secure and maintain the State adjusting licenses as required for the position.
ExperienceFive (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include in-depth knowledge of personal and commercial line auto policies, coverages, principles, and laws.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under close supervision of the project Team Coordinators / Management team, the Benefits Verification Specialist will contact insurance companies, on behalf of the physician's office, to verify patient specific benefits. The Benefits Verification Specialist will ask appropriate questions regarding patient's benefits and complete data entry and/or appropriate forms to document patient's benefits coverage.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collects and reviews all patient insurance information needed to complete the benefit verification process.
· Verifies patient specific benefits and precisely documents specifics for various payer plans including patient coverage, cost share, and access/provider options according to Program specific SOPs.
· Verification process could include electronic validation of pharmacy coverage and medical eligibility.
· Identifies any restrictions and details on how to expedite patient access.
· Could include documenting and initiating prior authorization process, claims appeals, etc.
· Completes quality review of work as part of finalizing product.
· Reports any reimbursement trends/delays to supervisor.
· Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
· Work requires focus, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing work situations.
· This position requires that the Associate be seated most of the day.
Required:
· Proficient Windows based experience including fundamentals of data entry/typing
