We support the legal, policy and regulatory teams as they optimize our exposure in line with our risk appetite through the review of contracts, evaluation and shaping of emerging law and regulation at both the state and federal level. In this hybrid role, you will report to our Head of Claims and Insurance Operations. You will: Help shape the future of claims handling in an autonomous world Directly handle claims, more specifically, subrogation claims, on behalf of Waymo Provide oversight and guidance to TPAs, focused on claim handling, especially related to subrogation claim handling Triage event information and data in order to proactively handle subrogation claims Assist in the development, implementation, and adherence to claims/subrogation processes and associated technological enhancements to improve claims handling Collaborate with internal teams and insurance companies and vendors to improve and help scale the claim/subrogation function at Waymo You have: 7+ years insurance claim experience (preferably in Auto and GL) Experience working on claim projects and both creating and documenting claim processes but also identifying bottlenecks in processes and being able to escalate and/or provide recommendations for enhancement/improvement. Auto experience to include both physical damage and bodily injury claims - but especially with subrogation operations. Background in vehicle repair estimatics and those systems that support such efforts (like CCC, Mitchel, Audatex, etc.) Advanced communication skills which are critical to building consensus across areas of influence (external and/or internal relationships), team, and/or matrix environment. The ability to manage a large inventory of claims and keep SLAs We prefer: Experience working Subrogation in commercial fleet operations CPCU, AIC and/or SCLA Experience working with Arb Forums/Arb Forum submissions (eSubro Hub) Any International experience The expected hourly range for this position is listed below.
