This role will perform various accounting/finance operations, ensure accounting accuracy, and support strategic financial decision-making. Qualifications for the Position
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA preferred
At least 2+ years of accounting experience is a must (preferably in Big Four audit)
Knowledge of SOX 404 compliance & internal controls preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other financial tools.

Responsibilities
Reports to the Manager
Oversee core areas of accounting including but not limited to Revenue, Inventory, Payroll, AP, Accruals etc.
Play a key role in the month end financial statement close process by preparing, reviewing and analyzing accounting entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial regulations.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Coordinate with internal & external auditors.
Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Other responsibilities (i.e. special projects, ERP enhancements, internal controls, and ad hoc analyses as requested.)

Compensation & Benefits
The base /pay for this position ranges from $90,000-$110,000. This is an exempt position. Pay is based on a number of factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The base pay range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000. This position is eligible for up to an annual 15% bonus, paid out quarterly in addition to base pay. About The Opportunity
Homeward is looking for an Accounting Manager to assist with intercompany eliminations, consolidation, financial reports and ERP management, financial analyses, audit, and tax compliance matters, lender management, cash management and reporting, and other corporate accounting. This role will report to the Controller. This role will require the use of skills in data analysis, effective communication with outside parties, advanced excel formula skills, high attention to detail, organization, and ability to research independently to form a position before asking for assistance. This role has the benefits of touching many areas of the business and accounting function, while learning directly from the Controller.
Responsibilities Include:
Prepare and post monthly intercompany eliminations for numerous subsidiaries.
Manage credit facility lender relationships, and reconcile monthly debt and interest reporting, following up on any discrepancies.
Liaise with external auditors throughout the audit. Prepare audit reconciliations, respond to audit questions and requests. Help manage the PBC list and follow up with the rest of the accounting team as needed.
Liaise with the external tax firm, manage and monitor tax payments and due dates, research and handle any tax notices or inquire with the tax firm when needed.
Assist with cash management, cash planning, and cash reporting.
Assist with banking and treasury administration.
Serve as the ERP admin for Netsuite, and maintain the chart of accounts, departments, and subsidiaries.
Assist with data and financial analyses, or other financial reviews as necessary.
Assist with corporate insurance policies and renewal.
Proactively ask questions of other teams or departments in the company, other accounting team members, your supervisor, or other teams/departments for any information deemed missing, or unclear.

Qualifications:
3+ years experience in accounting, auditing, or tax.
A Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance.
CPA license preferred.
Have a natural inclination towards systems, technology, and automation.

Experience working with auditors and/or tax firms is preferred.
Organizational skills to be able to easily track multiple tasks, questions, and responses.

What we're looking for

* Manage Inventory Accounting, including valuation, reserves, and coordination with supply chain and operations teams
* Oversee Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls
* Oversee all additional General Ledger areas, ensuring end-to-end integrity of accounting operations and compliance with U.S. GAAP
* Oversee international month-end/quarter-end/year-end close, including review of subsidiary financials, multi-currency/FX accounting, intercompany eliminations, and consolidation entries to ensure accurate GAAP/IFRS reporting
* Support audits and statutory compliance by preparing required documentation and ensuring international entities meet all financial reporting standards
* Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting schedules for management and external reporting
* Lead balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are properly supported, documented, and reviewed
* Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather information, resolve accounting issues, and drive operational alignment.

Ideal candidates have/are:
* CPA with 12+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth technology companies
* Strong expertise in US GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
* Proven track record managing accounting operations for companies with complex business models
* Experience with NetSuite and accounting close and automation tools
* Demonstrated ability to build and scale accounting processes in rapid growth environments
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Leadership experience with direct reports and cross-functional team management
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, SaaS, or technology hardware companies
* Background with international accounting and multi-entity consolidations

* Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools

Compensation: Groq is committed to providing competitive compensation through our Total Cash philosophy, which incorporates potential bonus value directly into base pay. The total cash salary range for this position, which is inclusive of the potential bonus value, is $271,000-$318,800, with individual placement determined by your geographic location, experience, skills, and alignment with internal compensation standards. This range is specific to candidates located in the United States. Compensation for international candidates will vary based on local market dynamics. We are looking for an Accounting Manager to develop, implement, and maintain a robust internal controls framework. In this role, you will identify controls, establish a cadence for testing for effectiveness, and recommend improvements. You will also act as the audit liaison for year-end audits. This is an individual contributor role reporting to Controller, with potential growth opportunities aligned with company growth.
What you'll do:
Develop SOX ready documentation, narratives, flow charts, RCMs, control descriptions in conjunction with staff and the Controller
Provide training and guidance on internal control standards and best practices
Design and implement an effective internal controls framework across financial and operational processes
Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, COSO)
Conduct risk assessments to identify control gaps and areas of improvement
Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls through testing and walkthroughs
Collaborate with process owners to develop remediation plans for control deficiencies as needed
Report findings and recommendations to senior management
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and automation of control processes where applicable
Serve as an audit liaison to external auditors for year-end audit. Prepare and review audit schedules as necessary
You have:
A bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience
A solid understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, SOX)
Knowledge of retail business processes including point-of-sale systems, inventory management, and supply chain operations
Experience working with multiple legal entities
Robust interpersonal and influential verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
An active CPA license preferred
