Key Responsibilities: - Conduct all day to day laboratory operations -Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment - Coordinate and manage cellar activities and manage cellar staff, including record keeping and work tasking - Manage and administer winemaking blends, trials, and tastings - Oversee the Quality Control program, ensure compliance, and make recommendations for continuous improvements - Work in the cellar, on the crush pad, the bottling line, and other areas as needed - Coordinate outside analysis as needed - Data entry for winemaking activities, ensure compliance with proper record keeping - Participate in bulk wine operations, ensuring compliance, and quality - Ensure laboratory results are accurate and repeatable, maintain lab equipment - Procurement and inventory maintenance of lab and cellar supplies - Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance in the laboratory and cellar environment - Assist with strategic planning and budgeting for seasonal projects, harvest activities, and staffing - Adhere to all state and federal regulations Skills and Qualifications: - Experience in winemaking or a related field is preferred. - Strong understanding of wine production processes and quality control. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. - Commitment to crafting quality wines and providing value to customers.
