Responsibilities:

As an Environmental Operator/Technician ( ie CDL Driver), you will be provided with the state-of-the-art equipment to perform your duties. RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ø Valid CDL Class A or B license with acceptable driving record.
Ø If applicant is not a CDL holder, applicant will be hired as a technician and started at the respective technician pay rate.
Ø Ability to lift 90 pounds, walk on uneven surfaces, sit or stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces or from heights on occasion.
Ø Availability and willingness to work overtime and be available to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.
Ø Ability to complete job paperwork including but not limited to; tailgate safety briefing, waste manifests, daily worksheets, log books, trip logs and other forms as directed.
Ø Ability to read and understand Federal and State regulations, including but not limited to DOT and OSHA regulations as required.
Ø Willing to travel between locations and/or multiple job sites during the day, occasional overnight travel is also required.
Ø Being on time for job assignments is a must, with a start time dependent on customers needs and locations.
Ø Experience or previous training is not necessary, but the employee is required to attend all scheduled training classes as well as online assigned training as directed to be eligible for all future work assignments.
Ø Ability to work in high and low temperatures outside, and sometimes work in conditions where noise levels are moderate to loud.
Ø Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screening.

Train all Sacred Heart Senior Living Community drivers in the proper use of wheelchair 'secure in place' measures and occupant restraint system
Develop and manage a maintenance/inspection program for all facility vehicles. Assist the Administrator and Corporate office to ensure yearly licensing and insurance requirements for all vehicles.
Transportation Coordinator must perform and excel in all job functions of the driver position.
Specific Duties:
Report to facility 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Check with Nursing Supervisor for medications needed for the time while out of the facility, changes in physical condition.
Walk around van to observe any visual defects and check operational systems, brakes, horns, mirrors, windshield wipers, lights, first aid kits, emergency flashers, door opening devices, lift operations before beginning trips.
Pick up resident wherever needed. Provide assistance necessary for safe boarding of vehicle. Make sure passengers, mobility equipment, wheelchairs packages, etc. are properly secured before starting vehicle.
Responsible for gas fill up, basic maintenance of vehicle. If additional maintenance is required, contact the appropriate repair service station.
Collect and tabulate mileage information and forward to Billing office.
Supervise the parking and storage of community vehicles
Maintain all registrations and inspections according to State and local laws.
Perform vehicle cleaning duties to include exterior and interior surfaces, vacuuming, and waxing as necessary.
Fuel vehicle at authorized fueling stations. Maintain a fuel level of tank or more at all times.
Monitor parking lot to assure safe entry into vehicle. use of handicapped spaces are to be monitored for proper usage.
Perform all tasks as Activities aide as assigned by Activities Director.
Other Duties:
