JOB TITLE: CDL Class B Truck Driver DEPARTMENT: SLI Sales The CDL Class B Truck Driver is responsible for following a pre-established weekly schedule in delivering batteries to customers on time and in a safe manner. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides on-time delivery to customers. Drivers load their trucks according to stops, as best as possible. Drivers are expected to assist in unloading deliveries at each stop. Driver is responsible to pick up returned product and mark accordingly. Driver will unload return product from customers, mark accordingly and place returns in designated areas. Driver must be sure both outgoing and return loads are secure and loaded for proper weight distribution and according to DOT HAZMAT guidelines. Responsible for reporting violations, fines and accidents to the Cromwell office immediately. Servicing/repairs/replacement of parts should be authorized by the Cromwell office only. Situations involving a breakdown are to be reported to the Cromwell office immediately to authorize servicing. Responsible for keeping the truck and cargo area clean and neat. Use ELD system to accurately perform daily logs including start/stop time, milage, and fuel records. Performs Pre-Trip and Post-Trip vehicle inspections documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working condition. Authorized credit cards only will be used for the purchase of fuel. Expense reports with receipts are to be completed and turned in to the Cromwell office on a weekly basis.
