We are seeking a Senior Clay Modeler to join our Design and Fabrication Studio.
The RoleContribute to the physical clay modeling team Develop and fabricate models and physical properties using a range of materials.Work directly with CAD modelers and studio designers Understand clay milling and 3D printing Assist with project development, coordination, and execution Work well in a team or individually as required
QualificationsFlexibility and are motivated to navigate uncharted paths Clarity and calm approach within a fast-paced environment Easily manage tight deadlines and extraordinary challengesA “will do” attitude CAD and Alias skills are a bonus Minimum of 6 yrs experience within a Clay Design StudioDegree in Automotive Design or equivalent work experience

Transforming the Future with Convergence of Simulation and Data

Job Summary:

Our client in Allen Park is looking for a Clay Modeler. This is a part time/on call contract position.

What You Will Do:

* Support windtunnel testing (will be require to support shift work and weekend activities)
* Vehicle preparation for windtunnel testing
* Activities will include:
* Clay modelling changes
* Vehicle part changes ( i.e, grilles, mirrors, spoilers, underbody shields, tires, etc)
* Part fabrication (i.e. from clay, form core, metal/aluminum working, etc.)

Basics:

* Must have own clay modeling tools
* Milling experience preferred
