Seeing the poor quality of workmanship in the homes and knowing that consumers are going to suffer because of it and nobody cares. It's all about quantity over quality. Seeing customer complaints be pushed off until their warranty expires and continuing to cause them frustration so they give up. It's difficult working for a company with no integrity, no pride in quality and no with ethics
Getting a Paycheck. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth the sleep I was losing over seeing how customers were treated and how little anyone cares about producing a quality product.
Nothing. Customer service doesn't exist here and it's disappointing. I thought I could take pride in a job where I was helping people have their dream home. It turned out to be the opposite.
I would put the customers first buy building a quality product and enforcing all of the retailers (including private owned lots) to follow strict guidelines and only hire licensed contractors. Also, to hire onsite QC staff to make sure that the homes are installed properly so that customers can move in with minimal issues. Have a team that is truly dedicated to service and doesn't just blow people off.
I didn't prepare.
I'm not honestly sure what the "industry average is". I just know that no amount of pay is worth my soul.
