JOB SUMMARY The Facilities Custodian is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment in and around the organization's facilities. This role includes performing routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and responding promptly to custodial requests to support daily operations and overall building functionality. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors throughout the facility. Empty trash and recycling receptacles; replace liners as needed. Clean windows, glass doors, and other surfaces. Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting repairs. Ensure outdoor areas, including entryways and walkways, are clean and hazard-free. Follow proper procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed. Lock/unlock designated doors and secure facilities as required. Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving furniture or equipment. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with organizational policies. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation. The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. The Duct Cleaning Technician provides quality duct cleaning and other related services to our customers while determining Interior Air Quality (IAQ). The Primary function of the Custodian Position is to ensure that proper cleanliness is completed on a daily and ongoing basis. This position will need to meet all appropriate practice and procedure.
