SUPERVISION: * This position has no supervisory responsibility. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * High School diploma plus two (2) years of college education and/or secretarial studies * A minimum of five (5) years' secretarial or administrative assistant experience including typing, general office practice and file maintenance, including at least two (2) years' experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant or comparable corporate experience * Type at least 70 wpm * Experience and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and performance of Internet searches * Competency with modern office methods and procedures, record and document management systems, telephone techniques, and office equipment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Two years' experience and/or comparable training regarding corporate secretarial procedures and general corporate legal practices, including preparation of minutes, resolutions, meeting notices and corporate filings WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing less than forty pounds.
