JOB OVERVIEW: This will involve set up, adjusting, maintaining, and configuring processing equipment according to assigned specifications, and regular communication with production personnel and supervisors and the completion of required paperwork. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Turns on all support equipment necessary to run the facility as needed.• Must do visual inspections and complete documentation during the run to insure defect free work.• Load corrugate, labels, bottles/cans, glue, carriers etc… in appropriate machines.• Performs minor package change-overs on equipment as required, as well as change- over to proper raw material.• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment with regards to cleaning and clearing them of debris and materials.• Assist line mechanics in machinery repair or other tasks as/if needed.• Must insure that all equipment is on and functioning properly prior to starting a run. Duties : Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. Promotes and maintains positive and effective working relationships and promotes good public relationships as a representative of Licking County Government. Monitors water and/or wastewater treatment equipment in order to ensure proper operation; checks chemical supply levels and replenishes as necessary. Assists Maintenance Operator with repairs on treatment equipment (changes oil, greases motors, pumps, chains, etc.). Operates and maintains water distribution and wastewater systems (pumps, compressors, electrical controls, lines, valves etc.). Receives and responds to emergency situations related to treatment, collection, or distribution operations. Receives and responds to telephone inquiries or service calls. Inspects and logs consumer meter readings for billings and water consumption information. Performs preventative and service maintenance and repair on departmental vehicles. Collects water and/or wastewater samples for purpose of analysis. Completes general housekeeping tasks in order to maintain facilities (cleans, paints, maintains grounds, etc.). Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of the position and all agency safety procedures Remains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; may be required to attend seminars/training Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: One year certificate from college or technical school; and one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Performs the unloading of EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) materials) received in bulk trailers using designated vacuum system designed for such purpose, ensuring that the bulk material is loaded into the correct storage silo(s). Ensure that the information on the material inventory board(s) are accurate and up to date. Retrieve raw material(s) from inventory for expansion. Inspect expansion equipment prior to operation to insure its safe operating condition. Insure the proper location and storage of expanded bead in the designated storage hopper(s). Records expansion data on Bead Storage Location board and reports expansion activity to Inventory Control Specialist. Reports raw material usage on the Raw material Daily Report and also delivers that report to the Inventory Control; Specialist or other person designated to enter resin consumption data into the company's inventory control system(s). Performs sampling tests on raw materials and delivers the resulting data to the Quality team.
