As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for students, staff, and visitors. Duties: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify a building leader when supplies need replenishing. Perform floor care duties including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed. Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Adhere to established cleaning schedules and ensure all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly. Skills: Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred but not required. Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards. Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must pass a background check. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing.
