**Basic Qualifications:**

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for servicing the intercollegiate athletic facilities. Duties performed are based on the needs of the events at that time and under the direction of the supervisor. Responsible for standby before, during and after events, practices, banquets, press conferences, meetings, luncheons, etc. This position will assist with set-up, arrangement of furniture and equipment, servicing restrooms, troubleshooting facility problems and reporting any emergencies to the supervisor or appropriate University authorities.
Provide ongoing upkeep of the sports complex, arenas, stadiums, meeting rooms, locker rooms, training rooms, classrooms, equipment rooms, restrooms, and other public areas. Includes cleaning and maintaining floors, walls, windows, carpets, furniture, sports equipment, wipe boards, sanitizing and restocking restrooms and showers, replacing light bulbs and emptying trash and recycle containers.
Set-up and move furniture required for sporting and special events; may manually or with self-propelled equipment remove snow or debris from sidewalks, stairs, driveways, entry ways; mow grass; help maintain grounds around athletic facilities.
Under the direction of the supervisor, perform minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills i.e. repairs to lights and fixtures, moving partitions, walls, windows, floors, unclogging drains and sewer lines, etc. Construct simple items such as bookshelves and cabinets, clean and paint surfaces.
Use power and motorized equipment, hand tools, ladders, buffers, polishers, vacuums, blowers, etc.

May direct the work of hourly staff. May drive University vehicles.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Building Principal and Assistant Director of Operations clean, attractive, pleasant, and smooth-functioning.
JOB GOAL: To provide all students with a physical learning environment that is safe, clean, attractive, pleasant, and smooth-functioning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Keep building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, neat and clean at all times.
2. Shovel, plow, and/or sand walks and steps as appropriate.
3. Check daily to ensure that all exit doors are unlocked and all panic bars are working properly during the hours of building occupancy.
4. Raise the United States and Kansas flag at or before 8:00am on each school day, and lower it at or after 3:30pm.
5. Clean classrooms daily and dust furniture and woodwork.
6. Clean corridors after school each day, and/or during the day when their condition requires it.
7. Scrub, hose down, and disinfect toilet floors daily and clean all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
8. Wash all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year and more frequently if necessary.
9. Keep the grounds free from rubbish.
10. Perform such yard keeping chores as grass cutting, tree trimming, etc. to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition.
11. Keep all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
12. Clean all whiteboards at least once a week.
14. Make minor building repairs.
15. Report major repair needs correctly and in an accurate and timely manner.
16. Maintain, on a regular schedule, all motors and other mechanical equipment requiring scheduled servicing.
17. Report any damage and/or vandalism to school property immediately to the principal.
18. Remain on the school premises during school hours, and during non-school hours when the use of the building has been authorized and attendance is required by the principal.
19. Assume responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for determining, before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured, security systems activated, and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off. (This duty may be delegated)
20. Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, and requisition needed replacements far enough in advance so that they may be delivered in such time as will not hinder the custodian.
21. Conduct an ongoing program of general maintenance, upkeep, and repair, including replacement of bulbs, tubes, filters, etc.
22. Move furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the principal.
23. Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste while wearing necessary personal safety equipment.

The Position:
We are seeking a people-focused Cleaner for our 55 and older, active adult community - Affinity at Olympia. As the Cleaner, you will be responsible for general housekeeping duties to maintain the cleanliness of the community.
Maintain a community culture focused on enhancing our residents' way of life while providing excellent customer service and a supportive home environment.
Build strong rapport with residents of the community.
Clean offices, bathrooms, amenity spaces and common areas daily.
Clean office spaces on a regular schedule that is set by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Using the apartment cleaning checklist, clean vacant apartment homes after each move out.
Clean and organize the pool house. Tasks include straightening of the chairs on the pool deck, cleaning of the pool house public bathrooms (to include showers), and vacuuming and dusting of the amenity spaces attached to the pool house building.
Remove used towels in the pool area and replace them with freshly laundered towels daily.
Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies.
Assist in removing debris from outside public spaces, amenity spaces, and common area, and empty public trash cans.
Clean elevator cab, lobby, and door tracks as regularly scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Comply with all company policies/procedures and Fair Housing laws.

What We Are Seeking:
A customer service focused Cleaner who can effectively work with the site team to carry out the daily housekeeping needs of the community while building rapport with residents.
Must be a team player who takes a “we over me” approach to building and sustaining relationships with others.
Must be determined, ambitious, and self-motivated.
Excellent communication skills; must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
Janitorial experience in hotel or residential management is strongly preferred.
Computer skills to include email, Microsoft Office Suite, ability to navigate web-based trainings, and other various computer programs.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
Reliable means of transportation.
