    Janitorial Worker- Quality The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Janitorial Worker to work at our food processing facility in Avon, NY! This position requires individuals to perform general production duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards. Job is shift specific and must be able to cover for waste room attendant if absent (relief responsibilities) there will be pay upgrade if waste room attendants are not available. Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.) Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed. Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Identify facility repairs, adjust and minor repairs. Stock and maintain hair and beard net through-out plant Follow all health and safety regulations Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas and parking lot Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped according to standards Maintain assigned areas for janitorial responsibility according to standards. Follow all site safety and GMP regulations. Adhere to all PPE requirements for specific sanitation tasks or any task being performed. Perform general cleaning, period cleaning, and drain cleaning as assigned. Perform all other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor or Group Leader Provide relief for responsibilities and duties that include but are not limited to: Operating Cardboard and Plastic Bailers with consideration for safety and efficiency, operating waste cart and extractor dumpers and compressors with consideration for safety and efficiency, operating liquid waste handling system with consideration for safety and efficiency and obtaining and maintaining powered equipment certification for fork trucks and other powered equipment as needed. All trash bags are to be placed in dumpster. • Ensure that the parking lot, sidewalk entrance and lobby are trash free and presentable, and outdoor trash cans are empty. • Clean the locker room per zone specifications and stock all locker room consumables. • Clean and organize storage, laundry, exercise and locker rooms. • Must participate in and follow all CDC and state mandated cleaning/sanitizing and PPE protocols. • Pick up all trash, magazines, lost and found items. • Check and fill all spray bottles and paper towel dispensers. • Vacuum and or dust mop all floors in the facility based on zone assignments. • Wipe down machines and participate in team deep cleaning by zones. • Check locker rooms every 30 minutes - take out trash, re-fill paper products, re-fill soaps, clean counters and mirrors, close all lockers, pick up trash and lost and found items, vacuum. • Maintain neat appearance and wear proper uniform with nametag while on duty. It is the employee's responsibility to maintain his/her uniform. • While working in the gym make sure all member rules are being followed. • Attend all staff meetings as directed. • Alert manager to any maintenance concerns. • Communicate issues or low supply stock with Manager. • Employees are expected to adhere to company policies and guidelines as set forth in the company handbook • Perform other duties as directed by management.
