What the job looks like:
Maintain and clean offices, lobbies, restrooms, breakrooms, and other high-traffic areas.
Collect / empty trash and recycling receptacles.
Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.

Completes all scheduled daily assignments within designated time frames.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

Using the counter brush, gently clean the mophead with a downward stroke and sweep up the dust onto a dustpan and dispose of it into the service cart.

Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:
Walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time
Operating powered and non-powered equipment
Lifting/carrying 1 - 30 lbs. equipment, supplies, trash
Push/pull, using both hands and arms while performing cleaning duties, exerting 5-35 lbs force
Climbing stairs and ladders while cleaning upper areas, drapes
Bending/twisting/balancing at waist, knees, neck throughout shift.
Kneeling/crouching/crawling while cleaning lower areas, retrieving supplies from lower shelves.
Reaching, handling, grasping and fingering while operating equipment, using hand and power tools, wiping and cleaning surfaces and using cleaning equipment. Overhead reaching required throughout shift.
Sight - in performing cleaning tasks and maintaining safety standards. Requires depth perception, hand and eye coordination in operation of equipment and tool use.

The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, maintaining proper supply levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment. This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.
Job responsibilities:
Clean, including, but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom cleaning, gathering and emptying trash bins in designated building areas following all health and safety regulations.
Stock, organize, and maintain janitor supply rooms as needed.
Inform management immediately of any potential safety risks or hazards and/or needed repair work.
Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after hours.
Complete other duties and special trainings as assigned by the supervisor.
