DEFINITIONEmpty heading The Facilities Maintenance Custodian performs general labor, cleaning, and inspections required for the maintenance and upkeep of NCTD facilities. This is a bargained position represented by the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transportation workers (SMART) Union. In accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, the salary for this position is $20.69 per hour. This will increase to $21.31 per hour on July 1, 2026. Distinguishing Characteristics Able to perform routine custodial maintenance, cleaning, and grounds keeping in the Maintenance of Facilities Department, to include having the skill and ability to operate the tools and equipment associated with these functions. May work independently or as a part of a team in assigned work areas. Supervision Received and Exercised The Facilities Maintenance Custodian works under the immediate supervision of the COASTER/SPRINTER Managers and/or Shift Supervisors.
