Perform cleaning and disinfecting duties to keep the buildings neat and clean at all times. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, clean glass, dust, remove graffiti and clean other surfaces to prepare building for occupancy and to maintain them at an acceptable level. Restock cleaning and paper supplies as needed. Empty waste baskets, collects and disposes of rubbish and recycling. Move furniture and arrange chairs, tables and other equipment as necessary. Demonstrate proper judgment in behavior, speech, and dress in a neat, clean, and appropriate professional manner for the assignment and work setting. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, have initiative, be a self-starter, and strong attention to detail. Must be able to work as a team member effectively with other personnel. Custodial staff are required to participate in snow removal throughout campus, including but not limited to plowing, shoveling, clearing snow ice from walks, stairs, pathways, and roads, and being available for emergencies and scheduled "off hour" work as needed. More than just a Job As a Pool Cleaning and Maintenance Technician: You'll help create backyard memories for local families and commercial partners, through delivering sparkling, clean, and chemically safe swimming pools. You'll market our industry-leading Poolwerx supplies to your clients, as well as organize and list any stock stored in your van. Pool Cleaning and Maintenance Responsibilities Work an established route, providing great customer service to every customer, every time. Brush/Sweep the entire pool and/or spa interior surface and vacuum if needed. Check chemical balances, adding all appropriate chemicals as needed. Clean all debris from the skimmer and pump baskets; backwash or clean the filter if needed. Ensure pool/spa is in top condition for client use. Secures the proper functioning of all pool systems and the cleanliness of the pool area. Communicates to customers any concerns or needed repairs found. What You'll Need A valid driver's license. SUMMARY: Professionally clean customer homes using Merry Maids' unique cleaning procedures and products. Overall objectives are to leave the home looking and smelling freshly cleaned and groomed. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The attributes listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability preferred for the position. PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Ability to drive to and from various job sites as needed. Ability to withstand regular physical contact with dog and cat hair, mold, dust, mildew and cleaning solutions. Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds of equipment in and out of an average of 4 homes a day, but as many as 6 homes a day. This may include climbing stairs while carrying equipment. Ability to load and unload equipment from cars. Ability to perform wet-work on the knees 60% of working time to clean kitchen and bathroom floors, showers and tubs; wipe countertops at waist height 20% of the time; bend for toilets and finishing showers and tubs at knee height 10% of the time; and reach shoulder height or above 10% of the time to finish the rooms. Perform dry-work with the ability to reach, pull, and stoop to make beds 5% of the time; reach, lift and pull to operate a vacuum cleaner that weighs up to 12 pounds 60% of the time; carry and operate a portable vacuum that weighs 6 pounds (and can be strapped diagonally across the shoulder) 15% of the time; dust furniture from floor to overhead 20% of the time. Dusting will involve bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and moving small furniture.
