    A wonderful family is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, part-time housekeeper to assist with the care and upkeep of their second home in Fairfield, CT. This role is best suited for someone proactive, self-led, and takes genuine pride in their work. The ideal candidate will be thoughtful, kind, organized, and comfortable working independently most days, while also being able to adjust to a dynamic and occasionally busy household with family and guests. The general schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8am to 4pm. There is some flexibility with start and end times. The home is just under 4000 sq ft and is 3 levels. Local candidates only, please. Responsibilities All aspects of whole home cleaning and upkeep, including but not limited to: Dusting, vacuuming, mopping (hardwood floors, stone, and wood surfaces) Cleaning and sanitization of kitchen/appliances and bathrooms (6 full baths, 2 half baths total across main house and pool house, and room above garage) Polishing silver Keep all living areas tidy Making beds and changing linens, and sheets Laundry care: General laundry, including delicate handwashing, steam ironing, and hang drying Ironing/steaming bed sheets and clothing Organizing: Inventory management (closets, supplies, pantry) Decluttering and ensuring everything has a "home" Light household maintenance: Monitoring for small issues and reporting them Cleaning garbage cans, emptying trash, and checking household stock Plant care Occasional seasonal tasks (e.g., setup/take down holiday decorations) Minor pet care (washing food/water bowls or adding water to bowl) Prepare the home for the family's arrival Communicate with the principal via photos, texts, or questions regarding household details Qualifications Strong knowledge of cleaning products and how to properly clean various surfaces Keen eye for detail and enjoys organizing and creating systems Proactive and intuitive intelligent approach Ability to read the room - Situational awareness Pet and child-friendly attitude (family has a dog and a young child) Friendly, professional, pleasant demeanor, and understands boundaries Warm positive energy and a respectful, can-do attitude Trustworthy, discreet, and dependable Likes being of assistance and takes pride in their work Familiarity with care for artwork is not required, but would be a plus Requirements Prior experience in a similar role Strong attention to detail and ability to care for high-end finishes (millwork, marble, hardwood, etc.) Excellent ironing and garment care skills (quality garments and fine fabrics) Ability to read labels and follow instructions Able to manage tasks independently and prioritize without constant supervision Physically fit to manage a three-story home Excellent communication skills Salary and Benefits The family is offering $40 per hour.
