Position Summary:
The Porter provides excellent cleaning services, often requiring the need to interact with customer and prioritize work based on the customer daily work needs. Assist with receiving and storage of all incoming orders to ensure proper temperature control. Maintain regular, predictable attendance, which includes attendance at all scheduled shifts, training and meetings.
Line Cook
Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating ovens, fryers, other kitchen equipment and completing line checks.
Ensure product quality conducting proper tasting procedures, rotation, storage (i.e. FIFO) and labeling.
Carry product, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas. Maintain sufficient levels of products at line stations.
Must be able to understand orders on the KDS screen.
Cleaning & Organizational Duties
Clean and sanitize work station area including tables, shelves, walls, griddles, fryers, ovens, and other standard kitchen equipment. Load utensils, containers, and other kitchen tools into dishwashing machines and help keep the dish area organized and neat.
Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers. Clean, sweep and mop as directed to assist in maintaining restaurant spaces, including common areas like restrooms.
Requirements
1-2 years experience in a professional restaurant kitchen is preferred.
Personable and enjoys working with people and a diverse team.
Availability to work weekends, day shifts and evening shifts.
Valid Food Handlers Certification Card (or be able to take a company provided course within 30 days of hire).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (6 or more hours per shift, excluding break times).

Grill Station:

Compensation:
The Heart of the House position is a non-exempt role paid hourly starting between minimum wage and $17.00 plus tip pool.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintains a Team and Guest focus while performing duties. Demonstrates Respect and Loyalty to the entire team every shift. Understands his/her role as a team player with both Heart of the House and Front of the House Team Members, working together to achieve common goals.

Assumes responsibility for the correct preparation of food products. Prepares product in as described in the Production Book.
Safely operates all equipment involved in grill and sandwich preparation. Learns about other kitchen equipment before use.
Adheres to all Health Department and sanitation standards.
Labels food products according to Health Department and company standards.
Ensures all products are handled to minimize time in the Temperature Danger Zone.
Keeps work area clean and organized.
Handles food product carefully to prevent waste.
Communicates with Kitchen Manager regarding product needs.
Attends all scheduled team meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or other members of the management team.
Jumps in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by management. Always adheres to safety standards.
Demonstrates personal ethics, values and a sense of commitment in the work environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Possesses a positive attitude and work well with others. A Happiness to Serve is essential!
Able to communicate clearly with managers, heart of the house and front of the house personnel in English.
Proficient reader in either English or Spanish.
Can accurately follow a recipe, use a scale and use measuring tools.
Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds. Any lifting over 35 pounds requires team lifting.
Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 12 hours on occasion.)
Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
Can hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
Can see 20/20 with correction.
Has or obtains California Food Handler certification before commencing work. Certification must be maintained throughout employment.
At least 18 years of age.

Summary
The Team Member is responsible and accountable for performing specific tasks and duties assigned within the restaurant including guest service, food prep, restaurant cleanliness and teamwork.
Duties
The Team Member will maintain a fast speed of service, resolve questions and concerns of guests, and follow all safety and security procedures.
In addition, they:
- Follow the steps outlined in the DHC Training Program to learn new skills, duties, and responsibilities
- Communicate to their immediate supervisor when additional training guidance and practice is needed
- Understand how each job responsibility impacts guests, employees, and overall restaurant operations
- Greet guests, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful attitude, including answering questions
- Work together with their co-workers to prepare items on the DHC menu while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements
