GUEST EXPERIENCE TEAMMEMBER
As a Guest Experience TeamMember (GETM) at Impact Kitchen you set the hospitality standard high and are passionate to ensure guests enjoy their experience. You create positive interactions at all moments in the guests journey. You create a sense of community while taking orders, serving or siding. You partner with your Culinary Experience counterparts on the team ensuring great teamwork. You are the first point of contact in our guest's journey and are passionate to prepare a variety of beverages (coffee, tea, smoothies) to high standards and with a quick turn around.
COMPENSATION
Guest Experience TeamMembers earn $18.50/hour, paid time off for Full Time staff, and receive a substantial discount on Impact Kitchen products and have flexible scheduling to accommodate a healthy balanced lifestyle.
TEAM & DEPARTMENT
Guest Experience TeamMembers make an impact everyday through our front-of-house operations and make up a large portion of our total team population. In this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from multiple levels of the organization while being the main point of contact for our guests. The Guest Experience TeamMember reports to Guest Experience Management including the Assistant Manager and General Manager of each Restaurant.
One of the initial entry points for our restaurant teams, the Guest Experience TeamMember is the perfect knowledge incubator. Those that excel in their capacity as a GETM have the opportunity to succeed to a Guest Experience Team Lead role where they train and develop top talent for the organization, and then on to restaurant management.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing best-in-class hospitality to Impact Kitchen guests, vendors and delivery partners.
Performing serving duties including serving and siding dishes, beverages and alike.
Preparing and providing take out orders to guests and delivery partners.
Making an impact at point of sale including taking orders and serving as an Impact Kitchen subject matter experts regarding menu and process.
Preparing beverages in a timely manner according to menu and customer specifications. Items include: Coffee and espresso based beverages with superior latte art, tonics, tea, and wellness drinks.
Able to execute all Front of House positions in order to support a smooth service
Dialing espresso grinders daily and continually monitoring espresso quality
Accurately inputting orders through POS system to ensure efficient communication with service line, coffee bar and smoothie bar
Setting up and closing down the barista and smoothie stations at the start and end of each shift while maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of workspace and bar equipment.
Conduct above and beyond training for relevant teammembers, ensuring a top-tier experience.
Supporting other restaurant tasks and teammates as required
SKILLS
Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and work well with others in a team based setting

Davis Center at the Harlem Meer is a brand new state-of-the-art recreational facility in New York City's iconic Central Park featuring a 1.25 acre outdoor area which houses an elliptical pool (280' x 120') that converts to a .75 acre public green during the spring & fall and features a full-size ice rink in the winter months. A 34,000 sq ft adjacent building houses locker rooms, public restrooms, and a large indoor gathering space to support all outdoor programming. Described by Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine as "one of the most important parks equity projects for the City in decades", the new Davis Center is the capstone project of the Central Park Conservancy's 40-year effort to restore Central Park and will serve as the hub for recreational and community programming in the area. How You'll Impact
The TeamMember plays a key role in NAYA's restaurant operations, trained to work across all stations, from front-of-house service to back-of-house preparation. TeamMembers provide outstanding customer service while ensuring store standards of cleanliness, organization, and quality. Responsibilities include preparing food, working on the service line, cooking on the grill, and setting up and stocking stations. TeamMembers collaborate with the team to prepare menu items and maintain a smooth, efficient service experience.
What You'll Do
Food Preparation & Production
Prepare daily production items in cooperation with kitchen staff.
Ensure food products are prepped correctly, following recipes and Naya's standards.
Follow recipes and portion control standards to maintain consistency and quality.
Wash dishes and tools used during food prep.
Minimize waste and assist with inventory counts.
Kitchen Organization & Maintenance
Receive, disinfect, store, and organize deliveries following FIFO and best storage practices.
Maintain proper storage temperatures and rotation procedures per DOH regulations.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, tools, and workstations thoroughly and on schedule.
Keep floors in work areas clean, dry, and free of debris.
Ensure a sanitary, clean, and safe kitchen environment, maintaining all equipment and utensils.
Customer Service
Provide timely and courteous service to guests in alignment with Naya's policies and procedures.
Display thorough knowledge of menu items, including beverages, and adhere to legal alcohol service requirements.
Greet guests, take orders, and expedite as needed, ensuring accuracy and satisfaction.
Ring orders into the POS system accurately and collect payments.
Assist customers with making change, as applicable.
Follow cash handling procedures, turning in accurate amounts daily.
Front-of-House & Station Management
Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized workstation at the start of each shift.
Stock cashier stations with necessary items, including paper goods and ice water.
Change trash bags, wipe tables, and counters, and pack sauce sides and pita bread.
Turn on displays and play music as part of daily setup.
Follow the proper cash handling procedures and rings up items correctly
Complete all side work and cleaning tasks to Naya's standards, including setting up sanitizing pails.
Teamwork & Communication
Support and assist teammembers as needed.
Communicate issues and ideas to the Chef or Director of Operations.
Participate in training and development of new employees to uphold Naya's service standards.
Compliance & Professionalism
Adhere to sanitation standards and company policies on scheduling, clocking in/out, uniforms, and grooming.
Attend company meetings and training sessions as required.
Exhibit a friendly, positive, and helpful attitude at all times.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
Who You Are
1+ year experience as a restaurant teammember at similar caliber concept
The ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis.
The ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day.
Excellent communicator in written and verbal formats.

Completed the Train the Trainer course.
