Requirements
As an Associate Veterinarian, you assume a multifaceted role at our hospital, extending far beyond traditional veterinary duties. You serve as a cornerstone in bringing our pillars to life and leading by example, both for our patients, their parents and the entire support team. Patient Management:
Put Pets First - creating recommendations with the patient's well-being as the first priority.
Continually improve the quality of patient care through studying veterinary journals and textbooks and by attending continuing education seminars.
Perform examinations, diagnostic tests, medical, surgical, and dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort. This will include care for both well pets and sick pets.
Perform medically appropriate euthanasia with compassion and concern for the patient's comfort and the client's emotional status.
Recommend referral to a specialist when this is likely to significantly improve the prognosis.
Client Management:
Will promote and participate in the Pillars and our Standards of Conduct and help ensure that the above is known and practiced by all team members.
Develop rapport with clients through compassionate communication. Determine client's needs and wishes.
Question the client to ascertain the patient's past medical and surgical history as well as a description of the current presenting signs.
Explain physical examination findings.
Appropriate preventive health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products and protocols in accordance with hospital quality of care.
Recommend and explain plans for diagnostic procedures and for medical and surgical therapies; methods for home care procedures and follow up plans. In both written and verbal form.
Provide the client with the patients prognosis based on the pets clinical problems.
Generate, or direct generation of fee estimates/treatment plan for recommended procedures and presents them to the client.
Keep clients informed regarding the status of their pet and results of diagnostic tests.
Provide telephone consultation, including follow-up calls for progress reports, etc. in accordance with your hospitals stated timelines.
Administrative Management:
Maintenance of client/patient medical/surgical records:
Completely “SOAP” the patient's medical records in accordance with your hospital's standards/timelines:
S = Subjective analysis of problem (history)
O = Objective analysis of problem (symptoms)
A = Assessment of problem (diagnosis)
P = Plan of dealing with problem (treatment)
Make certain all necessary logs are kept up to date through established protocols and guidelines:
Surgical logs

Accurately charge clients for all services performed. Participate in the planning, execution, and analysis of various methods of improving delivery of services to clients.
Support and participate in marketing and promotional events and programs.

TEAM
The Medical Director is a key “problem solver” within the hospital and a go-to person for team members in need. The Medical Director also sets the mood/team outlook for the practice. They are the ‘on the floor' director of medical team to maximize efficiency and ensure productivity. They provide feedback to help streamline daily routines.
Plans, assigns, and directs work; conducts monthly one-on-ones, and reviews development plans.
Helps to schedule veterinary shift coverage while proactively planning time off and CE scheduling.
Addresses team complaints and resolves problems.
Trains the team on AAHA guidelines and practices and supervises associates to ensure compliance.
Responsible for overseeing the development of Hospital Director and ensuring the Hospital Director has current development plans in place for each support team member.

CLIENT SERVICE
The Medical Director works with the Hospital Director to ensure delivery of top-level client service to every client.

The Medical Director is the CE advocate within the hospital. They should strive to provide themselves and the team with a variety of professional development opportunities throughout the year

Enlist doctors to present in house CE at team meetings
Share current knowledge or material from Director of Medicine with associates in the hospital

FINANCIAL
The Medical Director is accountable for reviewing the Profit & Loss statement every month, and ensuring a plan is in place for improving or sustaining steady revenue growth

The Medical Director partners with the Hospital Director to work on yearly hospital goals including the operating plan and budget

We are looking for a Senior Staff TLM to partner with our Mapping team to deliver stable, fast, scalable solutions for the Aurora Atlas - our mapping storage and versioning system. The Atlas powers many key functions, from map update processes, test creation systems, offboard simulations, visualizations, and onboard perception and decision making. In this role you will:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-impact engineering team focused on development of robust mapping storage systems (both onboard and offboard) that will scale with Aurora's mission.
Define the technical strategy and product roadmap, overseeing execution to hit critical development milestones.

Aurora's Product Security team's mission is to discover, mitigate, and prevent security risks in the software, hardware, and services developed by Aurora.
Our team is responsible for ensuring the secure design and implementation of secure technologies used by the Aurora Driver as well as continually improving the assurance levels of security across all of Aurora's Products. This team is also responsible for developing, contributing and documenting security engineering processes and the resulting product security requirements used by the company.
