Responsibilities:
Ensures the proper electrical maintenance and safe operating condition of all park rides.

Qualifications:
Associate Degree (2-year College or Tech School)

Must be able to work from ladders, lifts, and platforms.
Must be able to read electrical schematics, charts, diagrams, and blue prints. Must be able to identify electrical wires by color.
Complex Problem Solving Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Ability to interpret the National Electrical Code and apply safe work installations.
Ability to perform some electrical construction when necessary.
Must have valid driver's license.

Job Description:
An Apprentice Electrician is skilled in the areas of installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across a variety of buildings and high-profile venues. Install, trouble shoot, and repair electrical systems, panels, outlets, conduit, and lighting
Perform preventive maintenance and electrical upgrades across multiple buildings and venues
Coordinate temporary power setups for large-scale events and race weekends.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and site plans.
Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and OSHA regulations
Support emergency power systems and event response as needed.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Collaborate with other trades and contractors on projects and renovations.

Valid Texas Apprentice Electrician License (required)

JOB OVERVIEW
Provides essential support during load-ins and strikes and serves as a follow-spot operator during performances. This is a foundational role focused on the physical execution of lighting designs.
REQUIREMENTS
Operate spotlights as assigned and perform show-run duties as directed by the Head Electrician or Stage Manager.
Maintain up-to-date paperwork for each production, including plot and show run sheets
Assist in the hang, focus, and strike of lighting and projection equipment.
Complete pre-show checks and post-show shutdowns; assist in cleaning and maintaining fixtures and the lighting booth.
Aid in the construction of specialty items and the organization of the electrics shop.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic knowledge of theatrical lighting fixtures and safety procedures.
Previous experience operating follow-spots in a professional or educational setting.
Ability to follow complex cues and maintain concentration during performances.
Must be comfortable working with students and volunteers.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably at heights.
