Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined. Performs routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups. Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts. Performs further tests, which may include test driving the vehicle, to ensure repairs are completed correctly. Perform oil changes to manufacturer specifications. Top off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid. Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues. Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications. Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries. Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing. Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles issues. Creating detailed service reports based on inspection findings and document them for customer review. Verify completed maintenance and/or repairs prior to releasing the vehicle to the customer. Complete continuing education program as directed by the company. Maintains compliance with all OSHA safety standards and procedures. This is an hourly role that includes both in-office administrative work and occasional courier responsibilities. Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications. Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries. Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing. Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles' issues. Creating detailed service reports based on inspection findings and document them for customer review. Verify completed maintenance and/or repairs prior to releasing the vehicle to the customer. Complete continuing education program as directed by the company. Maintains compliance with all OSHA safety standards and procedures. At least two years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician. ASE certification a plus Must hold a valid driver's license.
