What Does A Clerk Typist Do At NYU Medical Center

* Assist with light processing duties when needed.
* Prepares SRD's for broken equipment repair through Purchasing Department.
* Checks with Purchasing Department on status of back orders.
* Records memos, reports, minutes, relating to department's activities.
* Assists with putting together staff in-service educational material.
* Keep files and records neat and up-to-date.
* Keep file cabinets organized.
* Maintains par level stock supplies for cleaning and MDD stock.
* Puts away stock supplies in designated places.
* Relays messages for tray requests or other to appropriate personnel.
* Xeroxes and files copies of orders, reports or related material.
* Answer phone.
* Take accurate messages.

What Does A Clerk Typist Do At Aultman Health Foundation

* EXPECTATIONS
* Assists with bookkeeping tasks including but not limited to therapy patient registration, customer scheduling, charge posting, statistic reporting and data entry for fitness, therapy, and sports medicine.
* Keeps the UD informed of any significant problems or concerns.
* Responds to patient/family complaints.
* Orients new personnel to charts, forms, fitness center check-in system, and office equipment and procedures
* Provides peer review of job performance of co-workers on a regular basis.
* Assists with the quality improvement program by reviewing, recommending or implementing quality improvement processes as needed or as directed.
* Assists with compliance of facility operations with federal, state and local rules and regulations.
* Consistently communicates with all patients, families, customers and other personnel in a professional, respectful and courteous manner.
* Demonstrates flexibility in meeting the needs of the program and responds positively to changes in workflow.
* Promotes teamwork by demonstrating willingness to assist others in meeting the needs of all individuals and collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team and other departments throughout the organization.
