Position Summary: Find new customers by utilizing company provided third party databases- i.e. Dodge, IIR, etc. The Rental ISR will be the point person for all inbound customers without prior business history with CBEC. Attend trade shows & develop an understanding of the support needs of the customer for the PS Rental Dept. Work with the marketing department and identify inactive and conquest accounts. Primary Responsibilities: * Make a minimum of 5 outbound and 10 inbound calls per day * Achieve New Customer Goals. * Achieve Sales and Sales Lead Goals * Upselling - Promote additional products, services, and equipment to existing and new customers. * Post Rental Follow Up Calls- Calling customers after equipment has been returned to ensure customer satisfaction, address any concerns, and generate referrals for further opportunities. * Point person for web and media-based rentals * Attend Trade Shows for development of Power Systems Rental * 100% of calls, leads, and opportunities reports to be completed CRM database (NAXT CE) * Respond to customer calls or emails in a timely basis with a sense of urgency. * Achieve Goals set for Rentals, New Customer Accounts, inactive Accounts, Sales (new or used for allied or CAT machines within scope of responsibility) * Develop a database of customers, companies, competitors and project information. * Use various reporting services, association contacts and other database means to prepare for upcoming projects in the area. * Maintain good organization and time management skills for effective territory coverage. * Assist in past due account collection. * Keep a supply of sales tools including company brochures, product specification sheets, and promotional items on hand and utilize them creatively to meet customer demands. * Work closely with Rental Coordinator & Salesmen to make sure all leads or rentals are completed timely. * Assist Salespeople and coordinators in their functions * Be the customer's problem solver, handling follow-up calls and customer problems effectively involving the Rental Manager or service department when necessary. * Involved in local trade associations to network and further develop solid customer relationships. * Provide some customer support as required after hours to maintain customer satisfaction. * Present sales presentations as required. Verbal, Written or Power Point. * Visit jobs sites with Outside Sales Representatives to learn application of product and customer needs Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications: * Understand construction phases, job situations and project conditions to properly time contacting customer with rental product and application suggestions. * Knowledge of entire rental fleet and ability to demonstrate equipment whenever appropriate to increase customer awareness of product's applications. * Negotiation- The ability to stay calm and address any concerns or negotiate terms that align with customer and company standards. * Active Listening - Understanding customer needs. Co-Op Construction Equipment Technician * Assist shop mechanics with daily shop operations. * This may include cleaning and inspecting parts for reuse. * Assist mechanics with assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting of Construction Equipment. * Grinding , cleaning, shot blasting. * Work will be performed in a Construction Equipment shop environment * Protective footwear and eyewear will be required. Job Summary: The Used Equipment Sales Manager is responsible for driving the profitable growth of used Caterpillar power generation and industrial engine equipment and natural gas compression engines. This includes CAT generator sets, industrial diesel and gas engines, switchgear, ATS systems, and related components. The manager oversees equipment sourcing, trade-in evaluations, reconditioning, exchange engines at the engine rebuild center, marketing, and resale to achieve revenue and margin targets. This role works closely with service operations, product support, rental and CAT dealer networks to deliver high-quality used equipment solutions aligned with Caterpillar standards. Our ideal candidate would be someone with a drive to win in both a solo and team sales environment. Details & Essential Functions: Sales & Business Development * Develop and execute strategies to grow used CAT generator and engine sales across key markets (rental, industrial, data centers, manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, mining, and commercial standby). * Build relationships with customers, CAT dealers, rental fleets, brokers, and national accounts to expand used equipment and exchange engine opportunities. * Negotiate competitive and profitable deals involving Caterpillar gensets, industrial engines, exchange engines, enclosures, and auxiliary components. * Leverage Caterpillar's dealer systems, certifications, and brand positioning in sales strategies. * Actively source used CAT equipment through trade-ins, dealer networks, auctions, and customer buybacks. * Coordinate with internal departments to align sales efforts with operations, service, and customer support. CAT Equipment Evaluation & Inventory Management * Oversee detailed inspections and valuations of used CAT power systems, including: * CAT generator sets (diesel & natural gas) * Industrial engines (C-Series, 3000 Series, etc.) * G3500 and 3600 exchange engines * CAT EMCP controls * Switchgear, paralleling gear, and ATS units * Assess equipment condition, hours, emissions tier compliance (Tier 1-4 Final), and expected resale value based on CAT market data. * Coordinate reconditioning, repairs, and dyno/load-bank testing to Caterpillar standards. * Maintain accurate inventory records, including serial numbers, build sheets, test reports, and Product Identification Numbers (PINs). Marketing & Promotion * Ensure high-quality listings featuring CAT-specific details: rating, standby/prime ratings, fuel type, alternator model, EMCP version, enclosure type, voltage, and history. * Manage pricing strategy using CAT market trends, competitive benchmarking, and internal valuation tools. * Partner with marketing to create targeted campaigns highlighting Caterpillar reliability, testing standards, and warranty options (when applicable).
