Brian Donley, M.D., was appointed CEO of Cleveland Clinic London on 5th February 2018. As CEO of Cleveland Clinic London, Dr. Donley will direct strategy and operations, guide recruitment and lead the opening of the new 205-bed private healthcare facility at 33 Grosvenor Place in central London.

Since joining Cleveland Clinic as an orthopedic surgeon in 1996, Dr. Donley has held numerous leadership positions within the Cleveland Clinic health system.

In 2008, Dr. Donley established and chaired the Cleveland Clinic’s Professional Conduct Committee, a role he held until August 2013. He served as President of Lutheran Hospital from January 2012 to October 2013. Dr. Donley then served as Chief, Regional Hospitals Medical Affairs and Quality and as Vice President of the Regional Hospitals. From January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014, he served as President of the Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospitals and Family Health Centers. On January 1, 2015, Dr. Donley began his role as Chief of Staff and Chief of Clinical Operations for the Cleveland Clinic Health System.

He is also a professor of surgery in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and has been part of an orthopaedic consultants’ team for the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the National Hockey League Players’ Association.

Dr. Donley graduated from the University of Notre Dame, and completed his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School. This was followed by a fellowship in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN.
