Cleveland Clinic Children's is an inclusive, supportive team providing world-class care for our youngest patients. As a ResearchCoordinator III for Pediatrics, you play a crucial role in supporting clinical studies by following policies and protocols and conducting patient visits in clinic, including consenting patients, completing questionnaires, and assisting with sample collection. You will also perform data entry and maintain various systems to ensure the smooth operation of the studies.

A caregiver in this position works days from 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
This role offers flexibility to work hybrid up to 3 days a week after completing the initial new hire period, depending on the needs of the department and studies.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
* Demonstrate exceptional coordination and compliance of the implementation and conduct of human subject research projects.
* Assist with research study design and protocol development as applicable.
* Independently direct large, complex, multi-center clinical research protocols/programs and coordinate the implementation and conduct of research projects, ensuring adherence to research protocol.
* Report Serious Adverse Events and/or safety as they occur and complete Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and sponsor forms in accordance with GCP guidelines.

* Develop and maintain knowledge of research protocols to coordinate the comprehensive and compliant execution of assigned protocols.
* Assist with the preparation for audits and response to audits.
* Develop or assist in the development and maintenance of research tools, such as spreadsheets, questionnaires and/or brochures.
* Maintain study personnel certification records (License, CV, CITI).
* Conduct and document the informed consent process.
* Assist the PI with research study design and development of research protocol.
* Submit the study to appropriate agencies in support of the research programs and assist with annual and other reporting requirements.
* Contribute to or assist with research project budget development.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
* High School Diploma or GED and five years of experience as a ResearchCoordinator II or performing the role of a ResearchCoordinator II
* OR Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare or science-related field and three years of experience
* Proficient with a variety of computer-based skills (word processing, Outlook, Excel, spreadsheets, databases and presentation software)
* Understanding of the basic concepts of study design
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
* Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare or science-related field

In conjunction with the Department Nursing Operations Manager and the Assistant Nursing Operations Manager (ANOM); the CANM provides guidance, fosters collaboration, and is responsible for the unit's clinical operations including patient care assignments, customer experience, productivity, and quality outcomes in settings where an acute care patient receives active treatment for an injury, episode of illness, a medical condition, or post intervention with assessment Essential Functions • Exemplar of the mission, vision, and values of Orlando Health. • Participates in shared leadership structure. • Managesstaffing assignments for oncoming and off going shifts, based on patient acuity and skill set of team members to ensure patient care needs are met. • Coordinates patient flow by working directly with the Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners to achieve expected outcomes. • Monitors overall status of patients within area ofresponsibility and closely monitors status ofseriously ill patients. • Coordinates and/or participatesin the delivery of patient care ensuring compliance with physician orders and established policies, procedures, and standards ofpractice. • Serves as a resource supporting frontline team members and providers as appropriate. • Supports clinical collaboration focusing on expected patient length of stay. • Performs direct patient care activities as required to meet operational needs. • Interfaceswithpatients andfamiliesto enhance customer experience by conducting Nurse Leader rounds and investigating and responding to patient/family and physiciancomplaints. • Participates in and/or leads safety huddles. • Embraces, communicates, and promotes change and problem solving. • Assesses equipment needs to ensure staff have the needed equipment for patient care, and they can appropriately utilize equipment. • Supports and sustains all leader-driveninitiatives. • Assists with retention strategies for new team members that fosters a best place to work environment. • Maintains a regulatory ready environment of care. • Ensures the appropriate allocation/adjustment of staff, assignment of meal breaks, relief of team members as indicated, etc. • Utilizes effective fiscal management skills and financial resources with decision-making. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. What to Expect:
Conduct systematic literature reviews and evidence synthesis on assigned functional medicine topics (e.g., gastrointestinal health, microbiome science, metabolic dysfunction, detoxification pathways, hormonal health, etc.) to support Director of Clinical Intelligence clinical content development
Research and compile peer-reviewed scientific evidence, clinical guidelines, and practice parameters relevant to functional and integrative medicine as requested
