CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Data Analyst Manger/Director to join our talented Digital team. The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment.
How you'll
create opportunities
in this role: The Data Analyst Manager leads the answering of questions posed by the business, creating of dashboards, and/or doing detective work to uncover the secrets hidden in the piles of internal and external data we have access to. It is not uncommon to find our Data Analysts making use of the Microsoft Power Platform, which we have full access to at CLA, or a scripting language like R or Python. The Data Analyst Manager cleans up data for analysis or visual display in a report or dashboard, and/or works out details regarding data access to support a project. Our Data Analysts favorite tools are the Power Platform (Power Apps/Power BI/Power Automate), Excel, DAX, M, R, and Alteryx. In contrast to a Senior, the Manager will develop more autonomy to develop solutions and will lead others, take on administrative tasks, perform support roles, and get involved in new business development.
Essential Job Functions
•Service Expertise: Develop service specific knowledge through greater exposure to peers, internal experts, clients, regular self-study, and formal training opportunities. Take on lead roles with client situations to develop and enhance business skills. Retain knowledge gained and performance feedback provided to transfer into future work. Approach all problems and projects with a high level of professionalism, objectivity and an open mind to new ideas and solutions.
•Data Analysis: Lead external and internal projects involving the collection and analysis of data using a variety of data tools. Together with the Data Analytics team, building and implementing of models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
•Data Development: Collaborate with others on the Data Analytics team to develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. Develop predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques. Develop tools to monitor and analyze solution performance and accuracy, and communicate findings to team members.
•People Development: Assist in developing and executing a Data Analytics/Data Science learning plan for varying levels of knowledge and experience.
•Leadership: Focus on building knowledge of the business of CLA, business development skills, and emotional intelligence. Balance between working independently with specific direction and collaborating with others. Interaction with others will primarily be virtual with leadership and colleagues from other offices. Take a leadership role in developing people.
•Collaboration: Take on additional roles beyond technical development and client service that may include: serving as primary contact with clients or business leaders on internal projects, take on administrative tasks, perform support roles, and get involved in new business development.
Requirements/Experience:
Experience
Seven (7) + years of experience in data analytics, public accounting, financial consulting, computer science or related field.
Education
Bachelor's degree in a field of Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or Data Science (e.g., Informatics, Data Science, Health Data Science)..
Technical Competencies
Experience* using Microsoft applications including Excel (2016 and Power Query M and DAX languages), Power BI, Power Apps, Alteryx. Experience* using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
Preferred experience in Health Care or Senior Living
Experience with Microsoft Fabric Engineering.

Cherry Bekaert's Strategic Financing Services Practice (SFS) is seeking an Application Writer and Community Engagement Specialist with a background in the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) or similar program area. We offer an opportunity to work with a team of experts with a deep track record in NMTC allocation applications, tax credit placement and deployment, and tax credit compliance and asset management services. The Application Writer will manage the process for writing NMTC Allocation Applications for the portfolio of client community development entities (CDEs) and manage the grant writing and applications process for clients seeking funding from other tax credit and funding programs.
The employee will also work with CDEs on strategic plans, including product offerings, measurement of impacts and other considerations that affect likelihood of success. The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset, strong attention to detail and commitment to deadlines and a mission to help make a difference in low-income communities.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Application and Grant Writing
+ Oversee and Manage NMTC Allocation Application process for CDEs, including
+ Drafting, reviewing and preparing NMTC Allocation Applications and supporting documents for strategic and technical opportunities
+ Writing compelling business strategy, community outcomes and other narratives to maximize scoring and increase likelihood of successful outcomes
+ Collaborating with clients to identify and source appropriate NMTC pipeline opportunities to suit unique CDE needs (considering geography, project type, community impacts, etc.)
