Overview:

The Care Manager facilitates transition of care planning with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve quality outcomes, reduce costs and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications:

Education

- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Required

- Current License in the state of employment, Required

Experience

- 2-3 years acute care hospital setting, Required

- Care Management or Utilization Management experience, Preferred

Certification/Registration

- BLS (CPR) at hire date, Minimum Required, or within 90 days of hire

- Certification in Case Management, Preferred

Other Skills & Knowledge

- Strong verbal and written communication and facilitation skills

- Strong assessment skills, time management skills, critical thinking skills

- Advanced computer skills

- Must have ability to interact effectively with a variety of people and situations at all levels of the organization

- Knowledge of InterQual criteria, Preferred

The Clinic Manager assists the Senior Leader in planning, directing and overall operations within their areas of responsibility. Manages the ongoing development, implementation and performance outcomes to improve efficiency of responsible service lines. Oversees the day to day supervision in assigned patient services areas, financial management and facility adequacy of their assigned areas. Maintains optimal communication and collaboration between practice staff, physicians, administration, external customers and appropriate health system staff to ensure service delivery that exceeds the needs and expectations of customer bases towards service excellence. The Clinic Manager works Monday-Friday, day shift hours.

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred.
* 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
* Leadership experience preferred.
* Knowledge in business applications.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely results.
* Maintains compliance standards in accordance with the Compliance policies and the Code of Conduct.

POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for management of clinical, administrative and technical services of Respiratory Care, Pulmonary functions, Pulmonary rehabilitation, Cardiology diagnostics (at LRH only), Sleep Lab and EEG programs. Implements and monitors policy and procedures to ensure safety of patients and staff in compliance with government regulatory requirements. Directs all supervisors to achieve departmental goals. Creates and maintains good physician, patient, employee and vendor relationships. Identifies and remedies patient care issues by placing a strong emphasis on quality patient care and excellent customer satisfaction. The clinical manager identifies and remedies issues through continuous employee satisfaction survey results and manages employee turnover. Develops department budget by working with the Corporate VP Pharmacy and Clinical Support Services in meeting the facility's goals and vision.


What You Need to Be Successful:


POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: Current Maryland license in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT) Preferred: Other: Life Support Certification: (Check all that apply) Basic Life Support - Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Education/Knowledge (see attached explanation sheet) Attained Level: Professional Preferred: B.S.
