Overview The Lead Counselor is expected to demonstrate expertise in: individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, advocacy, case management, substance abuse assessments, intakes, discharge/continuing care planning, and appropriate referrals. The focus in this position requires knowledge of opioid addiction and direct practice in facilitating evidenced based treatment. Establish SMART goals with each patient and monitor progress. Maintain licensure/certification and complete required CEU's. Provide referrals outside of Cedar Recovery as clinically indicated. In collaboration with the OTP Program Director, ensure compliance with 42 cfr, accreditation guidelines, and other state and federal regulations governing OTPs.
