    CLINICIAN Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility - WCS Jefferson County Responsible for providing individual therapy and supervising milieu group therapy to the youth residing at Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility utilizing the Integrated Treatment Model including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Provide service coordination in collaboration with the Youth Treatment Specialist team. The Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility is licensed under the Department of Health Services Chapters 50 and 34 to provide a short-term stabilization service for up to 8 youth (ages 10-17). Essential Functions: 1. Interview, assess, screen, and approve admissions of youth for services at YCSF. 2. Assist with admissions process on site, assisting families with paperwork completion and orientation of youth to the program. 3. Supervise the youth coordinator, providing weekly individual supervision, review and sign off on youth care plans and service recommendations/resources. 4. Facilitate treatment and value-added groups for the youth including but not limited to DBT skills, sex education, healthy relationships, cultural awareness, substance use, independent living and life skills for 8 youth across the gender spectrum, ages 10-17 years old. 5. Provide daily (more frequently as needed) 1:1 individual therapy session following treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches in the spirit of DBT. 6. Complete assessments to develop youth care plans including stabilization and safety plans. 7. Provide DBT training and coaching to the direct care staff by engaging in activities/programming to role model and teach DBT skills to both youth and staff. 8. Provide weekly clinical supervision to Youth Treatment Specialists in the YCSF program per DHS 34 requirements. 9. Engage in monthly peer review with clinical supervisor per DHS 50. 10. Participate as a member of the medical peer review committee per DHS 50. 11. Participate in consultation teams both as a team member and as a facilitator for program staff to assist in monitoring the fidelity of the milieu group therapy. 12. Participate in weekly consultation, training and supervision on the integrated treatment model. 13. Conduct daily risk assessments to ensure the youth are safe and not a risk to themselves or others. 14. Coordinate with Jefferson County Crisis Services as needed. 15. Work collaboratively with child and family team to implement a comprehensive treatment plan outlining each youth's identified target behaviors. 16. Attend court hearings as needed to provide updates and advocate for youth. 17. Work on-call to ensure clinical needs of youth are being met and provide clinical guidance to staff during crisis after hours. 18. Document all interactions in the electronic medical record SecurManage. 19. Engage with youth's support network and participate in family engagement initiatives. 20. Attend psychiatric medical appointments and assist in medication administration. 21. Keep appropriate documentation for all funding sources. 22. Maintaining resident record files in accordance with YCSF certification, Department and Health Services (DHS) 50 and 34 to ensure all records are updated and complete. 23. This position works closely with children, youth, foster parents, and community partners, providing assessments, counseling, advocacy, mental health stabilization and support toward the goal of unification with a sponsor family and living safely and successfully in the community. RESPONSIBILITIES The Clinician here for La Jornada will perform duties including, but not limited to: Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program's mission, values, and philosophies. Collaborate with the cross-functional service team to provide trauma-informed mental health related services including conducting required assessments, referrals to mental health providers and assessments to identify human trafficking concerns. Provide child-facing services on-site. Maintain an active clinical caseload pursuant to the assigned program ratio and consistently achieve established service delivery thresholds. Conduct mental health assessments; and provide ongoing individual and group counseling services, as well as provide crisis intervention if needed. Facilitate family sessions as needed. Perform visits at foster caregiver's homes within pre-established days from the child's admission as needed. Continually monitor the mental well-being of clients and arrange for appropriate services as needed, including arranging for and facilitating external specialized services with community mental health providers. Complete Risk, UC Assessments, Human Trafficking, RST assessment, safety plans, post 18 ages out plans, and other assessments as required by the assigned program within expected timeframes. Provide consultation and documentation regarding clients' functioning, mental health status, and treatment needs. Participate in staffing with the cross-functional team and stakeholders. Provide orientation to children in care. When necessary, travel to provide community-based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements. Complete all required documentation and training in a timely manner. Consistently achieve established productivity thresholds. Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family in the community, including but not limited to, medical, educational, psychological, and social services. Screen for human trafficking concerns and provide crisis intervention services. Perform other duties as requested. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's or doctorate degree from an accredited program, university, or college in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or other behavioral discipline in which clinical experience is a program requirement. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure. (Non-licensed staff must be actively working towards licensure while employed and attain licensure within 3 years of employment date). Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required to serve the children and families. Our stem cell transplant program has been FACT accredited since 2001, performing about 140-180 SCT yearly (60-70 allo-SCT yearly and 80-100 auto-SCT year) in recent years. We are a certified treatment center for all the FDA-approved commercial CART products for ALL, variety of lymphomas and multiple myeloma. Our CART patient volume had been doubling in the past 3 years, and we anticipate reaching 80-100 CART treatments per year with further growth in the coming years. In addition, we are actively participating in significant number of consortium and industry-sponsored cell therapy trials. We are conducting novel investigator-initiated therapeutic trials such as using alpha/beta T cell depleted haploidentical transplantation for the treatment of relapsed pediatric neuroblastoma and sarcomas. Our program is also developing institutional cell therapy trials including CRISPR/Cas9 generated CAR T cells for solid tumors and CNS malignancies, and ex vivo activated/expanded NK cells to treat neuroblastoma and osteogenic sarcoma, alpha/beta T cell and B cell depleted prophylactic donor lymphocyte infusion to prevent disease relapse after allo-SCT for patients with high risk of disease relapse. Additional investigator-initiated trials will be planned in collaboration with the excellent basic and translational researchers within the division, department and the institution. The University of Wisconsin has multiple well-established hematology initiatives including an endowed comprehensive sickle cell disease program, a comprehensive bleeding disorders program, and an inherited bone marrow failure program. The sickle cell disease program is a member of the National Alliance of Sickle Cell Centers. The university also hosts the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR), funded by a National Institutes of Health Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), providing opportunities for junior and mid-career faculty to develop and nurture research skills and to provide mentorship. The division also holds a hematology-specific T32 training grant to mentor pre- and post-doctoral candidates pursuing hematology research. Outside of the division, faculty can collaborate with university colleagues through the Wisconsin Blood Cancer Research Institute (WBCRI) and the Cardiovascular Research Center (CVRC). The candidate will have also access to many shared resources and opportunities to collaborate with basic, translational and clinical researchers at the NCI-designated UW Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC), the VA Hospital and throughout the UW-Madison campus. The primary therapist will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver counseling services in the way of individual, group, and family therapy sessions. The primary therapist will be responsible for keeping timely and thorough documentation for client records in accordance with state regulations. Duties: Conducting biopsychosocial assessments and developing individualized care plans based on collected data Conducting individual, family, and group treatment at the direction of the Executive Clinical Director Performs case management tasks including but not limited to aftercare planning, updating referral sources, reporting on client progress to the care team, and update care plans as necessary. Maintains clinically accurate, timely, and complete charting in electronic medical record for each assigned client Attends scheduled clinical staff meeting, clinical supervision, and other meetings for information exchange, case reviews, and client treatment. Other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Executive Clinical Director within the general scope of this position. Qualifications and Experience: An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Master's Degree or Doctorate in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work Independently Licensed/In-Training Licensed as a clinical provider in the State of Wisconsin 1 or more years industry specific experience in Outpatient (OP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Partial Treatment (PHP), or Residential (RTC) programs for mental health treatment. Knowledge of behavioral health treatment for mood, anxiety, and eating disorders Demonstrate ability to clinical conceptualize a client's needs as it pertains to behavioral care Experience in the use of electronic health records Highly skilled in communicating ideas and instructions, verbally and in writing, clearly and concisely Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Which may be representative, but not all inclusive, of those commonly associated with this position. To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following: Knowledge of eating, mood, and anxiety disorders Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics Must be detail oriented Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines as well as be flexible and dependable Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar Principles and processes for providing client services. This includes client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfaction Exceptional customer/client service with the ability to resolve service issues Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one Ability to handle multiple priorities with a sense of urgency Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense Identify/recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and know who to involve for resolution.
